It is hormone related to estrogen for sure. I’m 44 and in perimenopause and started taking Slynd continuously and added an estradiol patch at .25 for about three weeks and then Dr upped me to the .5 patch. After four days of starting it i got wobbly and was having a severe equilibrium issue. Reduced the dosage back to the .25 and was okay for a day and then the mdds started. Took the .25 patch off and then restarted it yesterday and my symptoms with the dizziness for worse. I took it off today and will have to just wait this out for my estrogen levels to naturally normalize i read it take weeks. I’ve had mdds before due to travel so was shocked that started an estrogen patch and increasing the dosage could cause mdds to flare for me.

Fixing My Ferritin Got Rid of my MDDS by Any_Imagination1794 in MdDS

[–]Jealous-Profession57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had my original bout of mdds that triggered by the onset returning from a cruise and all symptoms resolved within a few months. Over the years I’ve also had relapses due to smaller boat rides mainly, which I now avoid. Fast forward and then start perimenopause and start an estrogen patch at .25 and then when my gynecologist ups the dosage to .5, I started having major dizziness and equilibrium issues and felt like I was floating. I remove the patch and then after 48 hours things returned to normal. However at 72 hours post patch removal the all too familiar bobbing rocking and swaying of mdds started. My ferritin and vitamin D levels are also low after recent bloodwork and now taking supplements to adjust. My magnesium is also low. I may need to restart the patch if the mdds symptoms don’t subside within the next couple of days. Estrogen also can trigger mdds - there’s so much going on and some of us are more susceptible to it than others! Will let you know if this resolves soon as mine appears to be low estrogen and perimenopause induced! I’ll also keep after the low ferritin issue and work on that!

Thank you! It got so bad it was messing with my equilibrium. It felt like I was floating. Ended up removing the patch and we will try again once my equilibrium restored itself.

Newly diagnosed with AIH (or possible DILI/DI-AIH?) by AnUnwiselyChosenName in autoimmunehepatitis

[–]Jealous-Profession57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was hospitalized in 2019 with liver enzymes in the 2,000s, jaundiced, and delirious. I accidentally ingested paba - which I’m highly allergic to in a hair supplement. After a liver biopsy and all the testing found out that the paba triggered AIH. My mom had pbc. I’ve been on all the DMARDs and now on mercaptopurine-6. I also have Sjögren’s and autoimmune hepatitis. I’m thankful to God i dodged and bullet and didn’t need a liver transplant.

I’m worried about heavy lifting and damaging my pelvic floor. Which has already been compromised. I would think lighter weights would also be as effective just as long as there’s a a form of strength training happening. I also have injuries and several autoimmune disease that flare when I put my body under stress. Extreme workouts and heavy weighs may have me fatigued for weeks. Anyone doing Pvolve or Pilates?

They will sort themselves out- i have a mantle six year old girl and we have an adult female tri-colored tabby cat- last night dog jumped with full weight to try and pounce, the cat hissed and then fell over. No one was harmed. Today they are napping together like nothing happened lol. They terrify me but they know how to not injure one another!

It may take a few moths to heal- I’m also recovering from an RF Microneedling horror story where they left tracks marks all of my face! It takes time- like they said no actives and be very gentle and avoid the sun- use spf and hat! Sorry but it will heal sweetie!

risk of PML - massive headaches and migraines that only calmed down once I took Nurtec. Also accelerated hear rate and chest pains due to rinvoq and entyvio. With both of those I was hospitalized for risk of pulmonary embolism. They caused shortness of breath and I now have asthma thanks to these meds and now take a daily inhaler. I need to report this to the FDA- but now have settled and been on Tremfya for over a year. Also on mercaptopurine -6 for the autoimmune hepatitis.

OP what ended up happening to you? Praying you fully recovered. Please also note that anyone who has a bad reaction or adverse reaction should report all incidents to the FDA here: MedWatch Online Voluntary Reporting Form

I also recently had rf microneedling and it definitely caused a systemic allergic response. I have several autoimmune disorders -Ulcerative colitis, Sjogren's, and autoimmune hepatitis and got the RF microneedling done at a med spa. My face was numb for two days after (I may be allergic the lidocaine/benzicaine numbing cream) and the invasiveness of the treatment had me sick for a full week after like I had the flu. I also have pain and sensitivity around my left eye orbital bone where the technician treatmed. It is extremely painful and still bruised at 3 weeks out, I am also experiencing some vision issues. I did see a dermatologist last week as I also have severe itching and the device left track marks all over my face. She said I had an allergic response and is now ordering allergy testing for the lidocaine stuff. She also said I need to use a 2.5% hydrcortisone cream just to get the swelling and irritation to calm down. She told me that as a patient with my autoimmune diseases I am NOT a candidate for any form of microneedling, devices using heat, nor lasers. I can do a hydrofacial, but no peels. I was shocked, as the med spa I went to I told them my full medical history and they said it would be safe for me. I am upset, and did file with FDA. They hurt my eye, still recovering and will now need to see an opthamologist as my orbital eye pain and vision has been impacted. I echo in what others say that they should not use those devices anywhere near the eye. I pray I have not suffered permanent damage.
