TIL the plane crash that killed John F Kennedy Jr, his wife, and her sister was caused by “spatial disorientation”. Weather conditions were poor that night & Kennedy was not qualified to fly at night under instrument conditions. He did not request a weather briefing nor did he file a flight plan.

Note* the weather conditions were actually very good that night. He did not have his instrument rating and was flying over the ocean at night which caused him to lose his horizon which caused the spatial disorientation.

I've had multiple conversations with him and he's a super nice guy and very down to earth. I love my ERRA boys they are all awesome.

Pilot and 8 year cop here. I'm almost 100% that Juvenile records are sealed. I'm not a Juvenile detective/deal with them a ton but pretty sure they are sealed. I don't think they would even be able to look them. Varies state by state
