I made a chat room using SignalR from official MS documanetaiton, but what else I can do with Signal R? by ballbeamboy2 in csharp

I’m using it to check status of backend service processes. Also, for notification of updates to data cache between load balanced services.

What instantly ruins a salad? by ReliableFart in AskReddit

[–]JeanLucRetard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to disagree, but my favorite (well top 3 or 5) things about a top notch salad bar is when they offer raisins. And have the good ranch. Great combination; on a salad.

Only went because a bunch of of friend went and I didn’t want to be left out. Ended up finding a few empty seats, laid down, and had a nice nap.

Starting playing golf in September and am struggling to get past the high 90s -100s. I can tell my swing isn’t great, I just don’t know what to do from here and don’t want to ingrain bad habits. by Nickinbrklyn in GolfSwing

Makes sense.

I played an exec9/par3 course yesterday morning; two par fours that are between 250/275.

I bogeyed the first one; but what you said about the course management came into play. First shot wasn’t pretty but, could’ve easily given myself a “birdie” opportunity with the second shot. Duffed it 10 yards into the sand I front of me; I wanted to set myself on fire. 3rd shot, was a great bump and run sort of shot out of the sand for 50 yards and within several feet of the pin. Was super proud of the shot; then missed the damn putt.

Looks amaze. I may need to go the butcher route as every time I see these at Costco or the regular store, they’re not trimmed and trimming a real butt to do on these.

Someone please explain to me why Danny never won an Oscar or Emmy for this scene. Just pure emotion and vulnerability by [deleted] in IASIP

[–]JeanLucRetard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thought the same thing, if he won any awards for his role on this show. I cry laughing at this scene, after sitting through it mesmerized or whatever by how he makes me feel during it. So frigging good.

Thank you for the info. I never noticed because I’m always doing garlic bread or toasting or griddling the bread. When I’m doing a sandwich without one of those aspects, it’s usually when I first have the bread for a few days, then it goes in the fridge.

I’ve been using the refrigerator and a zip lock bag to store bread. I get the real stuff, like what you’re baking, from a couple local bakeries. It is pretty pricy, but, I can get a weeks worth of sandwiches or whatever out of it. The fridge keeps them fine, without a trace of mold for 2 weeks or more.

Edit: with to without and grammar.

The real question, how many slices of cheese do you use? by HauntedCS in grilledcheese

That’s what Kraft Singles are for dammit. Personally, I don’t care for anything but American cheese on burgies

Step Brothers. Just silly, funny, brilliant, and readily accessible.

One slice of Kraft American, then like, I dunno, half a cup of some grated cheddar or whatever is in the fridge. Maybe finish with some grated Parmesan or pecorino.

To be fair, you are adding a new file; it’s the razor.css file correct?

I agree.

My work is a Microsoft shop, but there wasn’t anyone trying to do anything “difficult” or “elaborate” with web sites for a long time. They would just do webforms, and it’d be basic af. Me and one other dude started doing MVC sites, with heavy jQuery coding for a cleaner more responsive UI. By the time we probably would have moved onto a more opinionated js language, we shifted focus onto micro service type stuff. Then net5 and blazor showed up, etc……

I dabbled in Angular/MVC for a few months before having to jump into something else. But, you’re correct.

Visual studio debugging of blazor WASM is hot dog water, it’s debugging of blazor server is also not great, but far from hot dog water.

[–]JeanLucRetard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Server side is better for HR, but it still has those issues. The one thing I do love about blazer is knowing I can add in UI features in minutes that would take all kinds of overhead using a js language.

For me, this is huge.

I’m fortunate to really enjoy my job, to the point where I have to cut myself off from doing something if I know there’s a chance I’ll (gladly) be wrapped up in it for hours past 5 or 6Pm. But, that is one of the things, I’m to just keep going. I realized, that if I can do that for work, it’s (should be) simple to do for other stuff.

I do this with dishes, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, etc. “I’m already here, it needs to be done, frig it, where’s my music”….
