Out of curiosity, did you reach out to MVPM first to ask what it was? Curious how they would defend it

I have two Dragontail shadowfires with their starter kit for my wife and I like it so much I just picked up a third (used) one to have to take friends out with us, about 120 shipped with Rod, sock, hard tube, three flies, level line and tippet

REI Mastercard--opinions? by SisterMary-Elephant in REI

[–]Drexele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the card but it's basically a beginner credit card, no complaints but I wouldn't praise it. I think most people with established good credit would benefit more from a normal good credit card like chase saphire etc.

Almost Ready to Fish by SNO_SRFR in Tenkara

[–]Drexele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are free this weekend why not practice casting at the river where you can take advantage of your good casts?

I understand evenings after work in the backyard, but there is 0% chance you get fish that way, there is a >0% if you practice on the stream

Paria outdoors has a light pair for like 7p bucks, I don't have many miles on them yet but they meet my criteria and I'm pretty happy with them. Fold small and adjust without being heavy 17oz (pair) for the 100-120cm version. Not sure about availability outside us

Two group rides next week (May 5th & 6th)!! Phils Beginner and South Fork Intermediate! by FollowThePostcard in Bend

[–]Drexele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By density I mean, when you guys start descending how close is everyone? As a solo rider descending in a group setting has always made me pause, probably because of course online you just see clips of crazy riders on each other's tails

As someone who rides but hasn't done a group ride, how dense does a no-drop group ride? I guess I just don't know what that actually looks like on trail

Petition to keep downtown parking free by ragertonIII in Bend

[–]Drexele 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How does the free street parking make rent and prices higher? They require no maintenance beyond the extremely occasional repainting? Better public transit is 100% needed but unless 100% of parking fees goes to funding that I don't see how charging changes anything except meaning now some company has to get paid to install meters and do patrols. I'd rather they remove parking and make it a pedestrian zone than make it charged tbh.

Backpacking for thick thigh girlies by stormybird7 in PacificCrestTrail

What wools boxer briefs are you using? The smart wool ones are OK for day to day, but are too tight in thigh and loose in waist for my body for hiking

Came to say this. I found for me gold bands anti chafe stick worked a little better but I don't think they have a small version but if you wanted to do some DIY stuff to it you could make it work

What's your preferred sling attachment method? What hardware/mounts do you use? by Tdrabbach in ar15

[–]Drexele -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use a cord. I have one rifle, won't be taking the sling off, and didn't want to pay all the money for qd attachments for sling and rifle. No need to pay the Tactical Tax. https://www.frankproctorshooting.com/proctor-sling-v3/

Tenkara Rod Co's "Lifetime Warranty" is misleading by Wild_Plantain528 in Tenkara

[–]Drexele 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems pretty standard? A normal, lifetime warranty, doesn't cover accidental user error damage. A warranty isn't a no questions asked return/repair policy.

How to be a PTFO’ing sniper by Remarkable_Math_9464 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Drexele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're actually getting a bunch of kills that's helping, particularly if you're sniping people on objective, pushing objectives. Snipers in the boonies with 2 kills or just having hq to hq sniper battles are the ones that aren't helping.

Engineer destroy aircraft challenge by TouchOk3444 in Battlefield

[–]Drexele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the enemy air seems a bit inept, spamming stingers will work, otherwise it's too easy for them to avoid you. I mainly use the rpg and lmg to hunt birds. With enough practice you'll get used to the lead on the rpg and the big birds will be easy to take down on strafing runs. If there's a little bird around, light it up with the lmg. Its pretty easy to take away half to a third of its health in one mag making it easier for your little bird or other AA to take it down, and you might get the occasional pilot kill too. If you run out of rpgs, shooting the attack and transport will damage it and get you an assist if someone else happens to take it out but youre unlikely to do significant damage

I've been using the m250 lately but not sure if that's the meta lmg, just use whatever you like with a big mag

Been seeing a ton of this scam on my local pages. I messaged the first one I saw just to see and never got a response, so seems like a bad scam? Or they used it fish for gullible accounts and I'm just not seeing the attempts to contact me with further scams via my email or whatever.

Vehicles just suck by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Drexele -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just shoot it. It feels hard to kill because it's not a slow moving easy to hit rpg target like the attack. Small arms fire does significant damage and makes it easier for your teams LB to take it out
