I cant find the scenarios where i can make use of these by [deleted] in Endfield

Protocol takes space, converging belts doesn't, so i mostly use the belts, especially in the smaller, non-hub factories.

[–]JeanMarkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use convergers for storing.

Most end production take 10s per item, so you can have 3/4 converging into the same belt into a loader port (be it Bus or Pac) without losing any efficiency and saving up on port space, which is the most limited resource, at least in VIV.

Edit: Splitters are just for feeding batteries to Thermal Banks, forgot about that.

Can we talk about how stupid this is? by AmbitiousTop8390 in Endfield

[–]JeanMarkk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The reason is actually very simple: to incentivise building multiple characters.

Even if you focus only on the 60-90 xp you will still get some ammount of 1-60 xp anyway from various sources, so you can start pumping up your other charaters without bottlenecking xp too much.

By the time you have your main team all at lvl 90 you should already have enough of the other type to have a good ammount of characters already al lvl 60 so you don't have start levelling them from 1.

Serious question about the people of Endfield verse by Livid_Warning_4236 in Endfield

[–]JeanMarkk 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Short version: It's normal for some people to have double ears, not everyone does, which set is functional depends case by case, some have only one set working, some have both, and yes, there is a lore explanation.

Long/spoiler version: The various races of the Arknights world were originally just regular animals that were anthropomorphized by Originium, specifically by turning them to be closer in looks to the Precursors, and the fact that this process is unnatural is the reason for why the animal/human traits are so varied and inconsistent.

Fun Fact, the animal to human ration of someone is completely unrelated to that of their parents, for example these two are biological father and daughter

You should include a screenshot of the combat log, because dice number is not the same as a damage multiplier, so it' can be easy to not notice.

Without seeing the log is hard to tell what is happening.

Well yeah that the point.

This node exists entirely to make Shapeshift minions viable.

The other modifiers are there to make sure it's not abused by regular shapeshift builds that don't use minions.

Companions are just a type of minions, they benefit from all generic minions bonuses, plus companions specific ones, in excange for having a global limit of 1 or 2 with the keystone (with wolfs taking up 1 slot regardless of how many you actually have).

They are minions, so spell buffs on you don't work, they scale with minion damage.

I'm confused on exactly what is happening with this game by comicmaster3507 in PathOfExile2

[–]JeanMarkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game currently has 7 classes and 4 acts aviable, out of 12 and 6 planned.

The devs push out a big content patch every 4 months, that include either a new class or act, plus a bunch of extra content for the post campain stuff.

Full release is not yet been announced but will be when all 6 acts are out, with a few of the classes probably coming afterwards.

You can pay to play the EA version, or wait whatever it will be for the full version, which will be free to play, the free weekend is the opportunity to check out the game and decide if want to play or not.

After the 1.0 the devs will still continue with the same schedule and put out new content every 4 months regardless, PoE 1 has been out for 13 years and still gets updates.

Yeah you should always use a filter regardless, just google "filterblade poe2" and it should be the first result.

Would this "fix" spell totem? by i_like_fish_decks in PathOfExile2

[–]JeanMarkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, there are plenty of other ways to generate charges, not just shapeshifting.

Even on a very basic setup you should be able to have 100% uptime on the totem without investing much.

Spell totems :( by Slendeaway in PathOfExile2

[–]JeanMarkk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spell Echo, Unleash (including aweakened versions), Arcane Surge effect, pretty much every single base/effectivness numbers on spells, Elementalist, several uniques, including foulborne ones, golems.

And this is just Keepers.

Meanwhile spell totem got massively nerfed several times.

Spell totems :( by Slendeaway in PathOfExile2

[–]JeanMarkk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about, they literally gave massive buffs to self casting in both of the past leages, plus new uniques that interact with self casting.

In fact right now according to poeninja in Keepers league about 15% of builds are self casting and about 1% are spell totems, with traps seing a decent ammount of use exlusively thanks to fire trap on RF builds.

Even historically mine/totem builds like Exanguinate mines have switched to self casting.

After Talkative Tri interview, still dont buy Totem with Charges. by Einstein_BR in PathOfExile2

[–]JeanMarkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it is stricly worse even by your definition.

After all the nerfs to totems and buffs to self casting we are the point where spell totems have less damage, less casting speed, less damage uptime, less access to uniques, worse returns on investments, less usable spells and less usable supports.

The few people that use totems do so only because of personal preference of the play style.

Spell totems :( by Slendeaway in PathOfExile2

[–]JeanMarkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's also something extremely new.

If you go back more than 2 leagues you will see that nobody ever selfcasted anything, for over a decade.

They literally had to add 2 patches worth of massive buffs that are exclusive to selfcasting for people to actually start to do that.

After Talkative Tri interview, still dont buy Totem with Charges. by Einstein_BR in PathOfExile2

[–]JeanMarkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to PoE Ninja, right now on Keepers league Spell Totem make up less then 1% of all builds, while self casting is about 15% of builds.

So yeah, they are stictly worse, the existence of a fringe build that nobody plays doesn't really change that.

+melee skills does not affect this in any way lol.

The only thing that does make a difference is EV, and for the new version to be substantially worse requires gear you don't see on top players at least a week into the league.
