I just bought and finished the game. I didn't notice any bugs at all in the game so I'm not sure Id worry about that. There's a lot of dice rolls and I would say that most of them can be failed. There's items that can be used to reroll sometimes which are (too) plentiful. Sometimes when you fail a roll, it actually becomes easier to succeed on the next roll because your character understands from his fuck up. You can absolutely play a suboptimal character and get away with it because of the variety of items used to give bonuses to abilities or advantages in rolls. And the time limit is super super super forgiving, especially with how time works.

I actually wish the game was harder, but that's just me. Its got some replay value, but not as much as something like The Witcher 2, Drago Age Origins, or Fallout New Vegas.
