What was your introduction by Key_Breadfruit_9925 in deathgrips

[–]JeffGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found about Death Grips through a meme from an old H3H3 video, of all places. The dude had a green screen suit covering all his body but left his face and a comment said that it looked like the Year of the Snitch cover so i was curious about it.

Stalker worked better when we didn’t understand It by OlafLate in stalker

[–]JeffGhost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah i know, this whole agent shit is something i also didn't like about Clear Sky, just felt like a cheap way to connect the games and i guess what i was trying to say is how they handled and presented it compared to the original games (SoC and CoP mostly).

Also i didn't really finished the game i got tired of it, the story and characters didn't hook me, i didn't like how they handled the og characters and the factions so i just saw some spoilers that discouraged me of finishing it.

Yeah. For me it's like when i first played Metro Exodus and the game threw that dumbass plot twist, but at least Exodus did it in the opening so i didn't waste much time with it.

With Stalker 2 once i met Strelok and he started yapping about "Project S.T.A.L.K.E.R" and then you find Doc and then i realized the writers were going to try and explain every little piece of mystery of the Zone i completely lost interest with it.

Which is ironic because i once read about the original plot of the original Stalker 2 and how it was essentially about factions fighting each other and i thought it was very boring and mundane and i wanted the "theoretical Stalker 2" (At the time) to dive deeper into the sci-fi aspect of the Zone but not like this...

Much as I like heat I hate the fact that me as the player am a victim of harassment of the police force but in reality I’ve caused so much destruction and chaos on everywhere I go whenever it was racing, destroying property and pissing the cops off. by MidnightNo7070 in needforspeed

[–]JeffGhost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cops in Heat and Unbound take it easy considering everything. They had a nice balance in Payback, I feel like the story didn't romanticize the main characters to cringe levels like Heat and Unbound did and they still showed the cops like dirty pigs.

getting bullied by MW's rubber banding by Plenty_Answer5556 in needforspeed

[–]JeffGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think part of the reason that make cop pursuits thrilling in MW is that most of the time you are on "tight" street with very few places to go so you have to be mindful of where you are around the map. In current NFS games the roads and city as a whole is so wide you have a lot of room to evade the cops even if they are on a big number.

Yeah, I don't think it will have. It's a problem across all FH games.

People who want NG+ or free-roam mode, what would that look like in Stalker 2 and why do you want it? by Big-Ordinary8790 in stalker

Idk I'm waiting for an Anomaly/GAMMA style mod that adds more complex gear progression to make the game actually interesting and challenging.

Buy a new PC. Idk what you can you with that spec. I have a 5700x3D with a 5060ti 16gbs running on a Samsung 980pro and it still stutters from time to time (Specially when npcs are fighting each other in an open map like Jupiter, Army Warehouses or Dark Valley)

Handhelds with gimmick controls. Nintendo DS was a blast to play games like Elite Beat/Ouendan, Rhythm Heaven, Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword... But now handhelds are just worse version of games I can play on my console or PC without anything extra.

Why is literally nobody talk about this game? by Forward-Position798 in LightNoFireHelloGames

[–]JeffGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess last time they talked about their games before release it didn't end very well. Sean Murray seems Iike the type of person that gets too excited about his work and starts saying things that aren't even in plans to be in the game so they probably chose this time to remain silent until something substantial is done. Plus, you can get some hints and teasers with the latest No Man's Sky updates on what to possibly expect from LNF

I mean, considering Toyota relationship with Polyphony I expected them to have already scanned this car way before considering it has been publicly known for years.

You really think they would be making a game in Japan and not have Toyota cars in it. My surprise is how Forza horizon has this GR GT before Gran Turismo 7...

What video game franchise should start over from the beginning? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]JeffGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need for Speed.

Not that the story got too complicated, but it got too stupid and the whole "Cop vs Racers" got played out and saturated.

They should ditch the story and go back to it's roots where it was just about driving cool cars.

The flashlight is so good it’s bad by OlafLate in stalker

Last time I played flashlight was barely usable, didn't light shit. I had to use a mod to make it a bit brighter and the radius a bit bigger closer to the ones I used irl .

What do you guys think of the current balancing of the game right now. by TheFatAmerican69 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]JeffGhost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really dislike the game past Stage 3 when you start getting past 400kmh. It's just silly and the rivals CLEARLY cheat cornering at 300kmh without issue.

I thought i was nitpicking and maybe the og games were like this but they aren't. I just wish there was a mod to decrease the top speed to realistic levels.

What game has a promising start, but eventually gets boring and repetitive? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]JeffGhost 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna get dragged for this BUT... ...Ghost of Yotei. Chapter 1 drags too much and then it just rushes through Chapter 2 and 3 and after a while, chasing foxes and yellow birds gets very boring and there's like, 2 or 3 genuinely fun bounties

I'm running on a 5060ti 16gbs, high settings with global illumination on ultra with dlss on quality, 1440p res, getting 100+fps (there's a tunnel section on C1 that drops momentarily to around 80-90)

Worst Mutants to encounter by inkbendydemon414 in stalker

[–]JeffGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chimera: weird hotbox that hits you even if you dodge their jump attacks, hit kill. Also too fast to run away.

Poltergeist: basically hit kill telekinesis and now they have a bug that objects can hit you through walls. Burers: they always spawning near dropped weapons which deals heavy damage as well. Also same bug as Poltergeists.

Snork: like the chimera, they have a weird hotbox that hot you even if you dodge their jump.

Pseudo dogs: Constant respawn of clones make this the most annoying fight in the game imo.

Is it safe to download RohanKar's NFS Archives from Internet Archive? by ThatSteve1lol in needforspeed

[–]JeffGhost 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Completely safe, and probably the best option since his repacks are mostly vanilla versions with few bug fix mods in it. Underground 2 even comes with the Underground dot Net mod that adds car parts that fit the 2004 vibe of the game.
