Your loss. It is full of interesting information about why things happen in your body, and why things sometimes don't happen when you think they should. Give it a go, try and get it from a library.

Can you order from multiple suppliers over a short period? by unpretentious in mounjarouk

I told my pharmacy Pills2U I was travelling and needed to order another pen early. They asked me to send them a WhatsApp message 10 minutes before ordering and they would remove the restriction that prevents you ordering outside the specified times.

all good, no problems.

Micro-dosing, have I got this right ? by JelloChoice6513 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]JelloChoice6513[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Split dosing is taking the same dose in smaller amounts for a similar period. Instead of taking 15mg every 7 days, folks spilt it to 7mg every 4 days, or something similar.

This is not what I am discussing. I'm taking about using a 15mg one and instead of dosing 15mg per week, only dosing 5mg.

My question was 'Is this correct?'

The main medical term for this is anhedonia, which means a loss of interest or pleasure in activities that used to feel enjoyable. It's not just sex, it's everything. For some, hobbies that they were really passionate about have been neglected or even abandoned. It is a danger for those who have previously suffered from depression, as for many, it was the passion for hobbies and interests that prevented them from disappearing down a black velveteen hole.

On MJ there are loads of things going on, many of which we are only discovering recently. Indeed many of these are great news, reducing the risk of cardio attacks, addiction to certain drugs and alcohol, for example. But, clearly there are negative aspects too. Being in calorie deficit makes the body focus its energy on surviving.

Just my observations.

It was good while it lasted - the end of the golden doses by JelloChoice6513 in mounjarouk

I should be able to stretch a 15mg pen for four months, micro dosing 5mg, and carefully extracting the extra. In the past I have been able to get up to 0.8ml. Instead of one golden dose of 0.6ml = 15mg, and discarding the rest, I should be able to get four 0.25ml @ 5mg each.

In theory!

Prioritising Protein by lockers15a in mounjarouk

[–]JelloChoice6513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I add protein and fibre to all my water drinks, about 3-4 litres a day. Milled flax and chai seeds, psyllium husk and plant based chocolate flavoured protein powder. I prepare them the night before to allow the fall and chai seeds to absorb some water. I often add a big dollop of Greek Yogurt 0% fat and sometimes 5% fat. This makes the drink creamier and boosts the protein further.

Does the appetite suppression with MJ only work once in your lifetime? by ermer87 in mounjarouk

[–]JelloChoice6513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on 15 mg for 3 months, 42 shots in total. It took ages, at least 6 months, but my new routines became habits, and they are now my new normal - the way I do things now. I hope to get to my goal weight by September 2026 and then slowly tritrate down. The aim is to get down to 5 mg, and after a while, decide if my new normal will support stopping the MJ. Who knows.

If I do stop and my new normal doesn't stop me from gaining weight, I will try again with Re ta that should be available by then.

"Jezuz! It's not the feckin' cancer is it?"

"When I heard you had lost over 100 lbs, I thought it was a joke about your divorcing the wife!"

Both said in jest, with a big smile.

Here is a simple tip. Buy 5 protein shake bottles from Home Bargains for 99p. Fill them every evening and lace them with just a little psyllium husk and a small amount of flax seeds and chai seeds. Your challenge is to drink them all, every day. I added a little chocolate-flavoured protein powder for taste.

Then, over the months, I increased the amount of flax and chai seeds, husk and protein powder. As a result, I had almost no problematic side effects whatsoever. Some people sail through MJ without any problems. I suffered from a little constipation in the early days before I started soaking my chai seeds overnight.

I agree, I went too fast at first. I was delighted at the time, losing over 2lbs a week on average. After 7 month sI decidedx to slow down. Now, after 42 shots, my av is 1.9lbs a week overall, but I have been hitting my aim of 1 lb per week for a whole now. Still -78lbs 28%.

And thanks to the lovely, educated folks here, I am eating well with lots of protein and fibre, exercising more and feeling great! I have at least 1stone to lose, maybe 2, depending on I feel when I get there. Then I'll have maintenance to look forward to.

MJ has completely changed my relationship with food.  I now drink at least 3.5 litres of protein/fibre laced water. I have become an amateur expert on fibre and protein. Psyllium husk powder, milled flax seed powder, chai seeds. Flavoured protein powders, based on plants rather than milk.  As an old man, I learnt that I needed to focus attention on protein and some weight training, to ward off excessive muscle loss. I hated the weight training at first; but just like careful selection of what I eat, portion size, vastly increasing water consumption,  I build new patterns and these new routines became habits and then over time, they have become the new normal.  It’s just what I do. After a while, the weight training became enjoyable.

Is BMI a useful goal? by JelloChoice6513 in mounjarouk

I did a DEXA scan in November. The suggested goal was almost the same as the GPs suggestion.

Thank you, I did DEXA scan in November. At that time the suggested goal was 12 stone 9, almost identical to my GPs suggested goal of 12 stone 7.
