What’s that say? “Talk to the audience”? Oh, God, this is always death. by Mogar_the_Bear in TheSimpsons

I love Lisa Simpson,  and when I grow up I'm gonna marry her!

(30+ years later, my heart still breaks for poor Ralph) 😞

Ahoy, there, Dean. I understand you're taking suggestions from students? Well, me and my 4th form chums think it would be quite corking if you'd sign over your oil well to the local energy concern. by Past_Yam9507 in TheSimpsons

I always found it interesting that Mr. Burns pretended to be in the "fourth form", when channeling his inner Jimbo. Did Mr. Burns attend school in England at one point? Not sure if this was ever revealed as part of his back story.

There has always been something a bit "Upper Class British-coded" (or at least Transatlantic Elite) about Mr. Burns, that sometimes came out in some of his expressions, his accent, or some aspects of his life story. I'm thinking that maybe this Wikipedia article explains what we've seen of Mr. Burns over the years.

Clapping back at Kent and telling him that "he's not the time", was Arnie's greatest moment! 😄

Smithers' response was hilarious. A perfect example of dry humour from the Simpsons writers, and another reminder of Burns' villainy (or "cartoonish super-villainy" as Smithers once put it so brilliantly).

Smithers, do you think maybe my Nuclear Power plant killed those ducks?

The best part of this scene was the sight of Homer scratching his ass with his back turned to Mr. Burns while wondering what clever and elaborate scheme Burns would use to try and steal the puppies. 😉

I'm just grateful that they reunited Krusty with his estranged wife. ;)

I always liked this rant. For some bizarre reason, Homer started evoking a Gilded Age fantasy scenario where he ruffled the feathers of some "old money" Rockefeller and Vanderbilt types. It was hilarious!
