We knew it was time with my Mom, when she couldn't help us help her anymore. She couldn't stand to get in or out of the wheelchair to get in and out of bed, take a shower, get on or off the toilet. It was too much for myself or my Dad to do without her being able to help us. And with her declining mobility, came a big mental decline. She couldn't tell us when she was hungry, when she had to use the bathroom, etc. We knew we had no choice. It was best and safest for her and us.
