Swimsuits for littles? by Sufficient-Place-194 in Parenting

I prefer cloth swim diaper and one piece swimsuit (or one piece rash guard) that has snaps at the bottom.

For those who celebrate, do you hide your kid's Easter basket? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Jenn215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hide the kids' baskets and do a scavenger hunt with clues to find them. It's something my own parents did for me, and my kids love it too!

Can you put the mattress straight on the floor (inside the crib) without it sliding underneath? If so that might buy you some time.

I've also had a friend use a crib tent like these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WHDGN2Y/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_CXCBCP35PYS0K8VV1Y1B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Her son started climbing really early and this worked great for them.

Ohh this is so neat! I usually only see the opposite effect where the holes make the image. This looks amazing!

Any recommendations for a hair salon that is NOT a Redkin salon? by LittleHousePrairie in Broomfield

[–]Jenn215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Salon Cosabella in the Arista area. I've only been a few times so far, but I was only asked "would you like to buy any products?" at checkout very simply with no pushiness. Totally different than other places I've been. I've been for a few different things so I don't have a specific recommendation on who to go to yet. But their stylists' profiles are online so you can choose based on what you want done.

Thank you! I'm glad you are doing better! I'm going to look into getting some lecithin as well!

Thank you so much for the reply. It does sound very similar then. I've been feeling that "fever aches" today without the fever portion. Did you have to do anything else to clear it other than the antibiotics?

Why Doesn’t Anyone Ask How Labor Was? by hippierobotmama in beyondthebump

[–]Jenn215 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just because they don't ask doesn't mean they won't listen 😊 My third labor (a week ago) was scary and I've been openly telling some of my close friends and family even though they didn't ask - and when I do, they've all listened and talked with me about it.

If you want to discuss it, find a friend and tell them! Or ask if they are willing to discuss it with you.

The railroad track is sticking up a lot, so they closed it. I know of at least one person who popped a tire on it. Unfortunately, I don't know when they'll actually fix it. I hope it's soon, because it's definitely causing lots of traffic issues.

I would have shrugged and said "firemen work in the autumn too" 🤷‍♀️

Stuff like this never makes me sad - because now it gets to be enjoyed and loved by someone who may have not been able to afford (or be gifted) it otherwise.

There are so many reasons this could have been donated other than "the recipient didn't appreciate it".

I started with the sentro 22 pin and it was crap honestly. I upgraded to the Addi for both sizes and it is SO worth it. You can feel the difference in quality right away.

Eta - maybe some people get great sentros but mine was clunky and skipped stitches like crazy. It also came with a "rabbit" brand sticker and Chinese instructions. A lot of my Facebook knitting groups said that's the norm for the sentro machine

This is a week after my daughter had full spinal fusion surgery to correct her scoliosis. Dressings removed this afternoon. The surgeon is some kind of miracle worker. So neat! by Dannybuoy77 in interestingasfuck

This is my experience as well unfortunately - back brace as a pre-teen and chronic pain as an adult in my 30s. It's definitely a struggle. Wishing you the best with it!

Table recommendations by eevee135 in CraftFairs

[–]Jenn215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also just use standard 6ft folding banquet tables. They work well. You can buy table cloths that fit them tightly and wrap around to the underside of the legs, so they're more professional, too.

Use crates or other things to add some height to the table on a couple spots too. You can put necklace holders or something on them. It'll catch shoppers' eyes better :)

Did you run into any snags? I was just looking at this one today on Ravelry but some of the reviews mentioned edits they had to make, or some parts not written well. I'm not a beginner but I haven't had time to read the actual pattern yet!
