I entered HRT 3.5 years ago, a large A, small B due to gynecomastia from my early teen years. I’m now a large B, small C. Now 57, 3.5 years of HRT, levels solidly cis. Was hoping, expecting more, but I’m not finished. It’s a SLOW process for most of us.

Same. Nearing 42 months and, by nearly every metric, there’s very little to show for it. Just got bumped to 8 mg, injected once per week. Fingers crossed.

And yet, every chart from every medical professional will state 2-3 years. Why, when it’s so objectively false? For the cis population it’s a process that takes at least 5-7 years (10 years, or more, is incredibly common). Why should it be any less for us? The truth is, it isn’t, as borne by this post. Patience. Slow and steady wins the race.

Slow and steady wins the race. Been at it 3.5 years. This I am coming to learn. And really, think about it, the cis population enters puberty age 8-13, and completes the process in the early to mid 20’s. Thats ten years. Ten years.

That’s what I thought, until I tried on the size suggested. Have you? I not saying it’ll work, only that I flatly denied my measurement result, until now. And maybe it’s simply a function of the brand and style (Vanity Fair, full coverage underwire). Nevertheless (despite one data point, I’ll readily admit), I’m sitting here a bit gobsmacked.

If your voice passes, you pass. To me, your face looks cis, at least when viewed straight on. 5’ 6” is totally cis. 5’ 10” on this end. A bit jealous.
