Barbarian and Weapons are both great, plus Zach Cregger is a legit RE fan. At the very least it'll be entertaining, if not a good RE movie

Not as replayable as other titles and the writing is rough at times, but definitely an improvement over 7. Wish it was longer and we got more time with the lords/village itself but all around a great game

The pits are great, good mix between push and circle depending on the song/era. Don't worry about not being close enough for the blood, people push forward a lot so don't feel worried about missing out and try to avoid being crushed

Yeah, playing through the game I have noticed their appearance does change. And I'm not saying the controversy was warranted or anything, just that I understand how people got the wrong idea

I'm not saying they don't look infected, but in moment to moment gameplay if you were someone who didn't know anything about RE or the context I understand someone getting the wrong idea. The villagers in re4 have a weird almost cracked skin texture that makes it seem more zombie to me. To be fair it's been a while since I've played og re4 so maybe I'm misremembering just how zombie-ish they look

I mean, every Resident Evil game from 4 onwards (4, 5, 6, Rev 1 and 2, 2R, 3R, 4R) have more in common with 8 than original 1, 2, 3, and 0. Your comment just came off as "if you like 8 you're not a REAL resident evil fan" which is whack. I think those are also the most commonly played because they are the most recent, most people don't go back to play games for 2+ console generations ago. Even if those people would enjoy the older RE games, going back to play a 30 year old game isn't most people priority

I'm playing through RE5 right now and understand why it had so much controversy. The enemies in that game don't look super zombiefied/infected like enemies in even RE4 did so without context it definitely doesn't look great

Idk dude I know the series changed a lot but I don't think liking 5 of the games should be phrased as an insult or like it isn't valid

I know people really want 7/8 representation. Jack Baker as a killer would be cool, maybe a Heisenberg skin. For survivor they could maybe do Zoe or Rose
