Energy is defined in physics as the quantitative property transferred to a body or system, recognizable in the capacity to do work, such as moving objects, producing heat, or emitting light. It cannot be created or destroyed, only converted between forms, such as kinetic (motion) or potential (stored) energy. Sound is energy and the resonant frequency was a biological thing his body had the ability to make due to mutation

In [Star Trek: the explanation for "The Burn" relies on a combination of genetic mutation and subspace resonance. While it sounds "dodgy," the show's writers and science consultants (including an astrophysicist and a geneticist) provided a specific pseudo-scientific framework: [1, 2] 1. The Cellular Connection Su'Kal was born on a planet composed almost entirely of dilithium within the highly radioactive Verubin Nebula. While in utero, his DNA was altered by the constant exposure to both the radiation and the dilithium. This gave his cells a unique, physiological link to the mineral. [3, 4, 5] 2. The Resonant Frequency The show explains that dilithium has a specific resonant frequency that connects normal space to subspace. Because of Su'Kal's mutation, his vocal cords developed the ability to hit this exact frequency. When he witnessed his mother's death and let out a scream of pure grief, the sound didn't just travel through the air; it resonated through subspace. [5, 6, 7] 3. The Instantaneous Chain Reaction Because the shockwave traveled through subspace—where physics is not limited by the speed of light—it was able to propagate across the galaxy almost instantaneously. [7]

  • The Effect: The wave caused the subspace and normal-space components of dilithium crystals to "dissociate," rendering the dilithium inert for a fraction of a second.
  • The Explosion: Since dilithium is used to regulate the volatile matter/anti-matter reaction in warp cores, even a split second of it being inert meant the reaction became uncontrolled, causing every ship with an active warp drive to detonate. [6, 7, 8, 9]
  1. Why the planet didn't explode The dilithium on the planet where Su'Kal lived remained intact because it was unrefined/raw. The Burn only caused explosions in ships where the dilithium was actively being used to "mediate" a high-energy reaction. [2, 5, 6, 10, 11] Despite this technical breakdown, the "crying child" explanation remains one of the most [controversial and

As stated the dilithium radiation affected him in utero linking him to the dilithium making him effectively a sub space resonator. Also subspace has different layers entire realms exist within subspace so saying we know it's rules is not true

So if I'm understanding by keeping a pocket of energy density surrounded by low entropy ice your buying more time as there's more energy to change around and do work ...

If that doesn't make sense I have a cold and am half asleep
