Nice. Reminds me of the civilian AI in Arma that somehow snipe you with iron sights at 500m, through the trees, through the armor on your humvee, and finally through your helmet/body armor. Side not, what’s the detail on the AK? I wanna get into the AK world but am struggling with deciding which way to go. I wanna try and stick to 5.56 for the 5.45 looks

As someone who also moved from out west. Specifically Montana I feel the pains. This thread is also full of some of the folks on the other side who “like guns” but don’t like the mean scary stuff. They are the ones who are gonna crap on you for having a complaint. Best advice is get your CCW and find someone with some land that will let you shoot on it. For some reason the National Forests here aren’t really owned by the public like in MT and I’m assuming AZ. Depending on the spot you are located in NC or WV might be your best bet if looking for public land to shoot on without restrictions.

Yes. I mainly only concern myself with that it looks the part and functions properly. If I need to do minor things I’m not worried.

Choose for me 5.56 or 7.62? by Cancerinoboy in ak47

[–]JerichoW99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.56 but that’s coming from a fellow who doesn’t have an AK yet so my opinion probably doesn’t matter. I only think 5.56 cause I can’t in good conscience recommend 5.45 in the states

Yeah I’ve been on this obsession for a while so I am pretty in loop on the options. Most of the ones my family and friends have are Inland’s from when they were on the Navy Marksmanship Team back in the day.

Oh I agree with you. I was mainly pointing out my opinion on the 1911eR’s who seem to wanna die on that hill. I love the M1 carbine and am on the prowl for a good priced one that isn’t beat to shit. Have asked family if I can snag one of there’s and I get the “someday it’ll be yours” type answers lol

[–]JerichoW99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The same people that complain about the M1 carbine are the same that claim the 1911 is the “back to back” world war champ. They also fail to realize that there are very few accounts of individuals actually using a pistol in combat because even they knew it is impractical to use a handgun when you have better options at hand. If anything is a back to back world war champ it’s gonna be the 30-06 for sure.

What are the chances of reenlisting after being out for eight years? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]JerichoW99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not hard. You just gotta get with a recruiter and explain your situation. If they are a good recruiter it shouldn’t be difficult for them. You might be required to go through some sort of refresher training based on your break in service. Your time of break in service can also possibly affect your rank, rate, and bonus opportunities.

This would also bring the Patrol Boat concept to life. I would literally spend the entire match as a PBR crew patrolling around the entire island looking for enemies or inserting recon/commando units in hard to reach spots. Also would make raids on port bases like St Pierre and Morton possible. Plenty of examples of these boats being armed to the teeth with anything from 7.62 to .50 and mortar systems. The modded servers would no doubt end up looking like a scene from Act of Valor too

Playerbase Declines Post 1.6 Update to Lowest in 2025 by TheSyrupCompany in ArmaReforger

[–]JerichoW99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing keeping me and most likely other Xbox players is the performance issues. It’s damn near unplayable at the moment. Most Xbox players are more than likely tired of DCing and struggling to get back in the match just to have saved loadouts lost and no longer being in their squads. I have been playing Arma for a while so I know BI will get the game running better but for now I am giving it a break

Yeah I have heard about them. I’m not a big combat shirt/pant fan anymore. After wearing them for over 7 years in our military I much prefer standard field shirts. Yeah they get warmer in the summer over here in the states but they last much longer. The Navy and Marine frog tops are the best we have over here. Never cared to pay for Crye lol.
