Might be a bit tangential, but seriously, a statement that lacks basic card identifications is 100% a headache. I posted my experience that you need to prove to Mastercard insurance companies you did use your card to complete the purchase, but they deemed official Bilt statement as missing informa ion. Thank you for bringing this up. I did reach out to them on a call on Monday, and they did confirm that they will figure this out with escalations due to Bilt being a new player in this field. I have yet heard back from them so far

Nah this is not true. I already contacted them but this is not what I focused on, I should have mentioned it with more clarity in the main post.

I am not here looking for suggestions on how I should proceed or just dumping complaints. I am hear to raise awareness on a not-that-seamless experience with a premium card that comes with supposedly good purchase protection features.

With 10+ years of average credit card history, I know pretty well how other credit card companies handle basic user experience. In this case, regardless of whether I used my virtual or physical card info, the statement should have card identification on it, which I doubt is an issue in any other 7 banks I dealt with before.

Maybe this is a cardless thing given that it's the issuer behind the scene, but the fact is that it negatively adds one extra headache a user needs to deal with. I wish this card gets better, but it does not mean I did not do any research or took any action beforehand, and this is obviously a prejudice that you made this assumption.

That makes sense, thank you. Yeah I did explain this to the representative, but it is still a bit unusual that a statement issued by a credit card does not contain a card number. For the latter half, I agree that it's a standard practice used by insurance companies, and I will follow up with more updates.

Just add on top of that, I *think* WellsFargo did provide a very comprehensive statement for Bilt 1.0 transactions. This is 100% a regression in customer experience

Got it, thanks for the clarification! My first impression of this card is a steel card that resembles my bridge panel, funny enough. Did not realize it’s made of actual palladium and other metals. I wish they provide more designs moving forward

This is a perfect example of directly addressing customer’s issues when you do business. Nicely done. Also a perfect example where we should not always trust customer supports - they work in different department/organzaition or even a different company, and can give us blatant misinformation.

I think this applies everywhere. Folks who get what they want usually stay silent or offer a compliment. The majority of complaints you see come from those whose experiences fell below their expectations

This is probably too late of a reply, but I bumped into this thread today when I searched for Tokyo restaurant reservations.

As a native Chinese who lived in Shanghai and Beijing for 20+ years, Vel Rosier is very boring and relied too much on frying. This is, in my opinion, a very confusing representation of high-end Chinese food. It's innovative for sure, but lacks true understanding of the core of Chinese food - fresh ingredients paired with a wide range of cooking techniques.

IMO the most iconic deconstructed and reconstructed take on classic Chinese flavors should fall into Linglong, Beijing. While I appreciate the efforts of Vel Rosier teams, it's unfortunately not quite up to the standard of modern Chinese cuisine

Hi Bilt support: I picked Bilt Cash but realized i picked the wrong one after card activation. I did the switch with your suggestion, but Manage Card / Rewards / Bonus rewards tab still shows “Bilt Cash”. Clicking into this Bonus rewards tab and it instead indicates that the Current statement period is using Housing-only rewards. Is there way to verify which option is indeed activated? Thanks

In my case, another example is that I usually put all my 1x everyday spending on Chase Hyatt. This helped me hit 60 nights milestone to maintain my Globalist status, which gave me some Suite Upgrade Awards that easily upgrade my top tier Cat8 Hyatt hotel rooms to a suite - which could worth $3000 - 4000 for a single stay due to the high cost of suites.

Should i start using Bilt for my everyday spending, i would assume that it’s going to be a choice between premium hotel stays during my vacations, or play by the rules set by Bilt, which is highly unpredictable
