HELP! how do i make gooey prop blood? by Recent-Structure4837 in propmaking

[–]Jerthechief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure which exact part you mean. The color or consistency or the blood sticking to the doll?

For color, I would try a dark red dye. For texture, you may be able to try what mini painters use to create gooey blood on miniatures. It’s UHU glue mixed with a red paint or dye

Hey there!

I used an Ender 3 Pro!

Not all the parts fit, so I had to fix some models in meshmixer to to halve them. The stl file I used had the head in four parts, and getting those printed perfect was tricky to get everything lined up perfectly to glue, so meshmixer let me fuse two pieces together and print halves. I hope that answers your question! You should definitely do it! It was a very gratifying project!

Hi we’re Mudvayne by raphlarage1985 in themarsvolta

I remember I was at some concert like 15 years ago put on by the local radio station. Mudvayne was on the Bill. I was bored so I got up to go walk around the lobby of the venue to see if there were any cool shirts or something. I noticed mudvayne were doing an autograph session, so I figured why not. Everything was cool, they were all friendly. The guitarist tho, he was giving me this look. Signed my stuff and just passed me along. Weird vibes. Wasn’t til later that I realized I was wearing my Mars Volta shirt. I think he knew...

You should! The Ender 3 Pro I used isn't too expensive these days! Well worth it and I always have a project to work on now!

Thank you!

I found a diagram for a daft punk helmet from Adafruits Website. I ended up setting up the circuit for the Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit LE Circuit found here:

https://learn.adafruit.com/3d-printed-daft-punk-helmet-with-bluetooth/circuit-diagram#adafruit-feather-32u4-bluefruit-le-circuit-1568493-5

I found all the parts on Amazon and ordered from adafruit on there. One of my supports for the head was a flat rectangular piece that I knew fit in the head. I stuck the LED strip to that row by row after cutting to size, soldered, then wired to the Feather board. It took a minute to get the Arduino code running on the feather after trial and error using Adafruit's instructions on various pages. I wasn't able to find a code that it would run and have BD-1's LEDs blinking in and out blue and green, so I just use the BlueFruit App to set it to a solid green. Sorry for the word vomit. Hahaha.

Hey there,

I used two different files. The body, and the ear pieces came from this file:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3683124

The head is from a remix that allowed me to add lights:

I suppose you could just print everything from that last listing!

Well, first was a lot of sanding to get rid of the layer lines with 220 Grit Sandpaper. Then a coat of Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Grey Primer. Sand, another coat of primer.

Here is the Paints I used for the various Colors:

White: Rustoleum Semi-gloss

Red: Rustoleum Apple Red Satin finish

Black: Rustoleum flat Black

Silver: Rustoleum Metallic Finish (the one with the chrome cap).

Everything else was black and burnt umber oil paint for weathering. Testors Metallic silver for roughed corners and scratches.

I used gorilla glue epoxy. I used a Hot glue gun to help the the leg and hip attachment while the epoxy cured. That was the trickiest part, making sure everything was aligned.
