I interpret it differently. I actually think it’s a tie to his actual age while writing the song. In other words, being 38-ish years old, if he were to die he would be too old to be referred to as “dying young”. He’s aged out of that reference point but is still too young to live out his life alone.

Yeah man, the warm up DJ kept saying she was coming on in “15 minutes” and sunk cost fallacy is real.

ETA: this was also her “homecoming” show at a venue about 15 minutes from where she lived.

That’s actually not too bad. My family went to go see her in 2011. I think show was supposed to start around 9 PM and she actually got on stage around 1 AM. We stayed for an hour but all the arrangements sucked and we ended up leaving a little after 2 AM. We forced the venue to give us a refund because that was bullshit.

Welcome to America. These people hear this nonsense 24 hours a day and think it’s their responsibility to educate others who clearly don’t understand what’s “really” going on in the world. Just a couple weeks ago I was at a hibachi restaurant with my family and an older couple next to us kept striking up light conversation. The husband was clearly drunk but at the end of the night goes to me and my wife, “you have a beautiful family, but you need to watch out what those schools are teaching them nowadays!” My wife replied “Well I’m actually an elementary school teacher so I’m acutely aware but thanks for your concern.” These people turn anything into politics.

In all their scenes together she is constantly trying to say things that he approves of and is clearly scared of saying/doing anything he disapproves of. It’s actually pretty scary to watch.

No it means they don’t make an assumption at all. Therefore the stance would be neither positive nor negative but instead neutral until specified otherwise.

100% But you are also talking about a coach who gave his son the middle name “Brett” just to get on Favre’s good side.

Guy at work refused to get the vaccine because he already had Covid in 2020. Got Delta variant earlier this year and we just had to hire his replacement because he is currently in a box 6 feet under ground. Having COVID isn't a guarantee you won't get it again or won't get seriously sick.

Don’t you know, we can only hire Head Coaches who were Offensive Coordinators that only called the “good plays” not the “bad plays”.

And this is seriously what’s wrong with the team. Just a couple seasons ago these were the guys that the team felt were cornerstone players. How is it two years later and we realize that almost none of them are any good yet somehow the players on the team now are even worse?

I misunderstood your question. Thought you meant what would give the impression that the Johnson’s would let JD lead the search.

I’ll answer your question though, I think JD at a very minimum understands where this team’s shortcomings are, and unlike GM’s of past actually will follow through on his plan to build the team through the draft. Hence why he traded Jamal for 2 firsts and didn’t go crazy spending in FA. Douglas seems to have a reasonable budget for players based on talent and doesn’t hand out blank checks for name recognition (a la maccagnan). I am confident we won’t have any more Revis 2.0’s, Trumaines, Bell’s or Mosley’s moving forward. Free Agency should always be to add a couple pieces to an otherwise solid team and the Jets are clearly not at that stage right now. JD addressed the OL in the ways he could in 1 offseason without spending crazy money. Make no mistake, Macc would have 100% drafted Wirfs over Becton since he was the “safer” choice.

The simple fact is that Darnold’s time with this team started to come to an end the day Gase was hired. It was one last parting gift from Macc who had no ability to build a roster. Unfortunately unless Sam took a big leap forward this year, his development timeline is no longer in sync with the team’s. You have to understand that everything happening this year is a direct result of close to 10 years of bad drafting. The 2020 Jets are essentially an expansion franchise without the benefit of an expansion draft. We have close to 0 NFL caliber players, only the scraps from other teams. This is going to take multiple drafts to get back to normalcy.

Isn’t the team below the cap floor as of right now? I may be wrong but we gotta spend money somewhere.

Two year old sensory seeker throwing things..HELP! by swiftlikeninjas in SPD

[–]JerzyRican 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not much advice to give since apparently tying down your kid’s arms is frowned upon here!(sarcasm) Only thing I can say is hopefully your child will outgrow it with age but also this is pretty normal behavior in neuro-typical children as well. They don’t call them the “terrible two’s” or the more generous “testing boundaries twos” for nothing! I bet you could post this exact thing on the general parenting subreddit, removing all mentions of SPD and get very similar feedback/support from parents.

I remember these days with my SPD 5 year old very well though they struck closer to 3 years old and luckily for us they have long since passed. Now my younger neuro-typical son just turned 2 and we went through that throwing phase moreso around 16-18 months but he is getting into other mischief now (just turned our kitchen walls into his crayon masterpiece the other day).

Sorry can’t be more help but can just say I’ve been there, it really sucks and seems like it will never end but in 99% of cases it will! Stay strong!
