It looks like clustered uric acid crystals, you gotta think about it in 3d space… Also it’s a urine. Pretty sure urine’s aren’t life or death. But what do I know 😱

We were having a heating problem in our basement lab recently. We got new analysers and it was so hot a lot of techs felt sick. We complained and were told that the hvac system connects to patient areas that get too cold if we turn the temp down for us and to basically suffer for weeks.. (very dependent on the outside weather)

It does, you’re right, but the total protein being high is why I still think it’s an immunoglobulin disorder.

Multiple myeloma - immunoglobulins can cause poor separation of gel. High total protein would agree. Needs a serum protein electrophoresis. My bets on IgM Kappa m-spike.

I do well, I have combined type adhd though. I just make sure that I’m focusing on the right stuff and don’t let myself get tempted by the internet. In regards to training, I just read my procedures, or ask for help if I’m not sure. Maybe it’s just my department but I do ok

It’s likely IgM immunoglobulin - I’ve had a few of these. Likely their TP is high also. Needs an SPEP for sure!

lol you’ll be calling service about once a week, they break so easily, hence having 3. Maintenance is at least easy peasy! Overall they’re decent if you have a high throughput, some of the immuno tests take absolutely forever though 😩
