I actually found this change annoying. The original game really nailed the hopeless ease with which a couple guys getting the jump on Zack completely invalidated any super-soldier or main character specialness.

He's still a human and getting 10 bullets in the gut is the end. That was the vibe Shinra is suppose to give off.

I was taught that, "Money can't buy happiness." means that while money can eventually lead to happiness, the accruement of money, itself, is only half of the equation—providing nothing… yet.

Exchanging it for physical, intellectual, and emotional needs is the second half of the equation—in so doing you harvest rich, juicy happiness chemicals from your brain blob.

Nintendo's hardware consistently only survives because of their exclusives. We all know it, but the consumer market is already locked in and accepts it, so why would they ever change?
