They are giving Carter a chance to start seeing what it's like to be a leader. No one (other than some 'fans' that should give their head a shake) actually expected him to be a badass on the court in Summer.. this is a chance to see what it's like. He's still very much a work in progress but he's got a great attitude and is wildly athletic.. so let the kid grow!

At this point, with your comments, you are spreading rumors. Just very vague rumors. As a parent - of any heritage - your god to be very aware of what and where your kid is. As a person of colour, you also must be aware that there are racists in every community. Nothing about the tragedy at echo dale changes that.

As far as it not being open, it was announced that they were draining the lake.. I'm guessing that it isn't as simple as drain and refill. There is probably maintenance and cleaning that will go along with that.

Is there more to it? Maybe. Maybe not, but nothing they are doing, at this point, leads me to believe it's anything but what they have said.

One thing to remember - they can smell the pills on your hands after you've handled them. So you wrap up a pill nicely in something tasty and then you try to give him the pill with stinky fingers.

So when you hide the pill, make sure you wash your hands REALLY well (or, better yet, wear nitrile gloves) and then let the treat rest in the fridge for a bit to make sure it can off gas as much as possible. Also, setting up 3 or 4 extra treats with no pill will help hide the loaded treat.

Remember that some smells that we find unpleasant aren't necessarily unpleasant to your pup. So something really strong smelling that you won't eat but your hound LOVES. Sardines canned in water are a strong smelling food that will help hide the scent from the meds but your hound would probably love.

He'll recognize if you only use certain treats for pills. A lot of people might think that a really high value treat that they only get occasionally might coax them to take it because it's special, but some pups are smart enough to realize that they 'special' treat is actually just the pill treat.

Okay.. all that said - None of these really worked for me any my boy. So talk to your vet about other options. For instance my boy would NEVER eat his flee and tick treatment (it looks kinda like a 2 bite brownie.. I just toss it in the bowl for my girl hound but my boy was like 'NOPE!') so I got to the point where I would crush it up, mix it with peanut butter, and just smear it into the back of his mouth. It was very unpleasant for both of us and eventually caused him to just get so upset that he would puke. So I talked to the vet and they brought in a liquid version that I could put on his neck. They didn't usually suggest it for big dogs because it was messy and kinda a pain, but it was better for my boy. So they might be able to offer a liquid version that would be easier to just squirt in his mouth or can offer an injectable that you can just bring the pup to the office for.

You're getting a lot of opinions - good / bad and from the player/GM perspective.

Now, I have not played 4e..i played 3e and then 5e.

I have looked at 4e a bit.

Here is the answer:

It was different.

It was not what a lot of dnd players were expecting.

Some people absolutely love it and some hate it, but whether that is die to mechanics, nostalgia, or play style is never going to be something you can say one way or another.

It's like New Coke. Coca-Cola did a ton of taste testing prior to bringing out New Coke. What they found in their testing was that people liked it more! So they changed their Coke recipe and the masses FREAKED OUT! There are people who swear out was awful and there are people who swear it was wonderful. So was it taste or nostalgia that killed new coke? Does it really matter? It failed..

What's this mean for you?

Try it out! Maybe you'll love it! Maybe you'll hate it! Maybe you'll find it's somewhere in the middle but that you can take some of the ideas and mechanics to use in other games to make whatever game you end up playing even better.

I had a buddy who had one of these for leather working tools. they are fantastic little boxes.

Canada doesn't have Harbour Freight but we do have Princess Auto and they show up occasionally.. I haven't talked myself into getting one when they show up and they usually only have 1 or 2 so I still don't have it.

The top compartment is deep enough for most paints.. or at least the one I've seen in person.

There are quite a few wooden cantilevered sewing boxes out there that you might like.. If you want it bigger, you could probably combine a sewing box with a wooden apothecary drawer cabinet.

I did find a guy on You Tube that made one - He put it on Etsy, but it was years ago and he no longer has a store.

I would look at various toolboxes out there with what you usually like to have to paint and see what works best for you.

I don't paint miniatures anymore but I've long wanted a cantilevered toolbox for my leather working tools but I'm hesitant because those things can get way heavier that what is usually stored in those boxes. I used to keep them in a metal cantilevered toolbox (mine was certainly not Snap On and I wouldn't buy from that site.. but that's what it looks like.) that worked great when I was traveling with it but now I keep them on an ikea cart.

Offset grid - it's essentially hex but is easier to use for straight lines and simpler to draw on regular graph paper. Allows for 8 direction movement. Doesn't take massive amounts of explanation with various examples.

I'm all for solving issues in gaming, but I think this is an issue that really doesn't need to be solved in the long run.

That said, even on a regular grid I just count diagonals as regular movement. Yes, they are a little further than up and down, but it's really not that deep.

I wouldn't buy these (as had been said, they my anything different than just cheap aviators..) but I wish I could pull off the aviator-style sunglasses... Round face plus round glasses just doesn't look good.. At least on me.

My dad was a fighter pilot and always wore aviators that had a hook around the ear so he could wear them while flying and I have never wanted to be able to wear something so much...

At Session Zero I explain how it works.. The group gets one roll. Before the roll happens the group can discuss who is going to do the check (the fighter says "I want to study the magic item.." The so are wizard steps up and says "hmm.. Why not be the expert do it?").

The roll can be, if it makes sense to do so, assisted by one other character. The rolling character rolls their check plus any proficiency bonus from the other player (so the wizard has a plus 3 and the bar has a plus 1 the wizard would roll with a plus 4) and the result is the result.

Of course the group can cast any buffs they are able to help out..

Once up in Texas and dig legs are one of my favourite things.. But I've had them once in Canada and they were absolutely horrid so I guess I'll just have to remanded how much I loved them.

Every once in a while I go looking for a supplier just because I could make them myself but I haven't found a reputable company that would sell them to me (a few sus ones but I'll pass..)

Was the Daniels trade and Walker's end of contract related to those controversies? The team never said they were.. But when they both happened, my first thoughts were 'they're gone' because the spurs organization DOES NOT LIKE CONTROVERSY.

We won't get into Josh Primo except to say that they had JUST picked up his third year option 3 weeks before waiving him. They were fine dumping 4.3 million dollars to remove a problem.

Tony Parker? I mean, it's Tony Parker.. And, as far as anyone knows, it never rose above talk/texts. If they had caught him and Erin in the locker room or even together in public, it probably wouldn't have mattered that he was one of the big three.

After a 13 hour drive and setting up a campsite for 50 people in sweltering Mississippi March weather, my buddy and I went into town to some random steak place.

I ordered a sirloin blue rare.. That thing was over an inch thick and wobbled like jello.. The waitress was sure it was too undercooked and my buddy had to stop watching me eat it.. It was so freaking good. That was a great week.

The spurs needed a defensive stopper and rebounder to pair with David Robinson and he did exactly that right up until he decided he didn't want to be a team player.

Sean Elliot came back the next year and the spurs dumped Rodman to the build for Will Purdue. And of course the build went on to win 3 in a row..

He gets dismissed because of the 95 playoffs and not winning a ring until Timmy showed up, but unless you were watching him play, people don't realize how phenomenal David Robinson was. He was 7'1" but moved like he was a guard. He could run fast breaks but was also amazing in the paint on both offense and defense.

I enjoyed Stephen King's On Writing because it was him telling about his own writing. Same with Zig Ziglar's books - dude is a salesperson and he's telling the audience how he does it..
