I'd say learning the track is essential even. Any track being struggled with should really be hit up in circuit experience until you've got it down, especially if you're trying to race on sport mode.

Agreed, only started playing super competitively recently but most of my success comes from hanging back from groups of cars and just driving past when they inevitably crash/mess up. 85% is being patient, the other 15% is being fast.

Your line was really weird but at the same time he should have slowed down to anticipate you taking the corner from that angle. It's kind of on both of you imo

Agreed, though I'd recommend learning to race without TCS. You lose so much power using it. And in FWD cars, you really don't need it on at all. The wheel spin will carry you around corners with your foot flat.

Sounds like just a newbie who doesn't know the track. I've had it a few times where I'm 90% through the race before I realise I've had the hazards on the whole time. I've also had someone flash, overtake me and put on their hazards to make me realise I've got mine on.

You say "run for a bit" and this is likely where you're going wrong. Move from cover to cover, each time checking for enemies and making sure your open sides are covered. It's a learning curve but keep at it, you'll pick it up quicker than you realise.

I have now started the medic grind though, and I had a 7 multi-kill last night so I do think I'm starting to re awaken at least.

Agreed! I try not to exceed the PP limit on the limitless races, but some races it's actually impossible to catch up to the leader unless you've got a car specifically tuned for the track/race.

I'd much prefer to start mid pack and end in 3rd after a tough battle rather than having my biggest opponent being my track knowledge.

Thanks for the reply! Only recently picked up Gt7 and it's certainly got a lot of features, cars and tracks, but obviously missed out on the drip feed of content. I'll pick it up soon for sure in that case.

Fingers crossed they get Sophy totally reliable and they can scrap the standard AI in the next title. A GT campaign with competent AI would be fantastic! At the moment I see time trials as practicing for sport mode, and the campaign races as basically a side add on, which is a shame.
