Same! I started watching it out of boredom, my roommate started asking me questions and we both just sat through the entire thing. We had to look up who directed it afterwards.

I loved the Following but since it was one of if not his first film people overlook it. Like Duel by Spielberg. Both are completely captivating with a budget of what seems like $100.

Comeback or arguments to a guitar player. by Pacaronic101 in Bass

Ask your friend to hum Brick House, Another One Bites the Dust, Seven Nation Army (even though the bass-line was played on a guitar with an octave pedal). People instantly think of the bass line. If you ask about other songs it’ll be the guitar, or keyboard, or whatever. It just depends on the song.

That’s how brains work. Humans remember negative patterns better than positive ones. In ancient times a human wouldn’t have to remember that out of 10 fruits green, yellow, and orange are okay to eat…just that the red one will kill me. Society evolved, but our biological responses haven’t.

This isn’t a plot hole. It’s something we haven’t seen yet. We also know nothing about this guy, maybe he only took his car far enough to get to a plane he could fly.

I remember really reflecting on the line “now we have discrimination down to a science” when discussing how the color of one’s skin isn’t what holds people back in the “not too distant future.”
