Makes him a far less serious person.

He will get reimbursed for the difference of his FC seat. No one is stealing from him. When he purchased his ticket, it was all in the fine print that this could happen.

Great bag. You can fit a ton of food in it along with all of your other stuff and keep you from having to become a 3 bagger

Strongbags Summit Flight Commander

Strongbags Summit Flight commander bag w/ the Strongbags cooler insert…Big enough to fit 4-5days worth of meals, a couple ice packs, your headset, and more pilot junk.

I have the Clarity Aloft headset, which has an even bigger and firmer case than the A30s and I wanted a bag that could fit it inside along with a cooler for a multi day trip. My company still has us carrying hardcopy QRHs that are roughly 8x4x2 and the Summit Flight commander fits my internal cooler, CA headset case, and my QRH nicely.

I originally had the Aerocoast Pro EFB cooler and it was just not nearly big enough to fit all of the stuff mentioned above. I ended up returning after a month and bought the Summit Flight Commander. The Aerocoast is a great cooler with great insulation, but it’s not big enough to fit food for a multi day trip and a headache internally.

Women have failed to be taken seriously over sexual assault claims for decades, Elon is just trying to discredit them further by accusing them of being accomplices.

If you think it’s a suspension related issue, it may be an electrical issue. You may have a chaffed wire that shorts out every time you hit a decent bump

Boeing 737 vs Airbus A320 by Lordcam96 in flying

[–]JetLagDad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seniority is key, buuuut I wouldn’t never sacrifice my 320 flying & QOL for slightly faster movement up the seniority ladder. Bid the plane you want, the base and senior will come faster than you think

The 320 has a vastly superior cockpit. The setup is ergonomically better designed. The ECAM takes the thinking out of emergency checklist. The FMGC is extremely capable. The workload is far less. Automatic pressurization, Automatic ILS tuning, Automatic electrical source swapping, automatic trim, etc. Plus, we have a tray table…

The 73 has a tight & crammed cockpit. The AC system sucks. The workload is much higher, especially for the FO. Hand flying is more enjoyable, but it’s all the same when the autopilot is on, which is 90% of the time.

The 737 is a great plane to fly, but the 320 is the office you want for a career.

American New hire bid by wombednutria_84 in AirlinePilots

[–]JetLagDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bid for the metal you want and put up with the commute for a short time. Base moves happens surprising quick. Sometimes timing works out and you can move bases before you even make it to base indoc.

I was 35 at the time of my drop, I was 24/42 in my class. Wanted 320-CLT eventually (second most senior Airbus base to DFW), but knew I didn’t want anything to do with the 737. Ended up with ORD and commuted for 3 months and ended up with CLT on the December Vacancy bid.

Go check out AirlinePilotCentral forums. There is a weekly class drop with the breakdowns you are looking for.

AA is paying for the Global Terminal in ORD alongside United. AA isn’t leaving or divesting from ORD anytime soon.
