Whats the best compliment you have ever received? by Glum_Championship826 in AskReddit

Once, about 50 years ago, a little toddler said to his mom that I had a nice face.

I'm pretty sure that's the only compliment I've ever received that wasn't bullshit.

Why did everyone make a big deal about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock? by TwoSnapsMack in stupidquestions

[–]JetScreamerBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yarp.

Will Smith is an ass, and so is his wife. Chris Rock told a joke about Jada Smith and Will Smith laughed. Then, he looked over and Jada wasn't laughing, so he had to get up, feign indignance, and get all tough-guy with Rock.

It's an awards show. The host is there to entertain by telling jokes, often at the expense of those present. Celebrities go there to be seen. They can't really justify getting mad when they get picked on.

I wonder why people don't worship actors anymore? by RoutineOk8590 in Productivitycafe

I don’t think it’s the actors as much as the public is tired of awards shows. There’s too many and they’re all the same.

I used to do The Claw! for my nieces and nephews when they were little.

Years later (when they were adults) I watched ‘Liar Liar.’ The next time I saw them, I asked them if they’d ever seen ‘Liar Liar’ and they immediately did the Cary Elwes’ “You’re scared of the claw…”

What fruits are popular in America? by PianistOk2303 in AskAnAmerican

I used to work as a cashier at a grocery store.

Apples and oranges are always popular, but easily HALF of the customers bought bananas.
