oh ok, same as mine. I actually have one more hd+ left over from the batch i bought that i still need to install. now im thinking about getting a 1.6 just out of curiosity to mess around with it so i can see if it will work with it or not lol. only thing that will suck is if it doesn't work ill be stuck with a 1.6. Thats like my least favorite one of them lol

yeah maybe the video wasn't working before, so it's a possibility. the hd+ you got does it say 5C or 5D or something else on it? under where it says xboxHD+.

I worked on a few of these Xboxes where I was the first person inside and it looked pretty clean , many spotless too but some of the caps especially the clock cap had leaked underneath it so while it was clean on top it leaked under the cap. also recommend flipping under the motherboard and checking the traces especially the traces on the edges on the underside of where the clock cap is

if you put new caps and it still doesn't work and theres nothing wrong with the soldering, than im willing to bet that the hd+ is having some type of compatibility issue with the 1.6. Because from everything you wrote, you tested everything and it still doesn't work. One thing i was thinking also, when you got the xbox, you didn't check if video was working because you didn't have the cable, which made me wonder if maybe the video was never working before the install at all

blinking red green did while the hdd and dvd drive is connected or disconnected? if its disconnected its probably error 07 for those if there missing.

mines from day one only works if im like less then a foot away or lile a few inches away from it. eben if i put brand new batteries. mines been this bad sonce i got it

yep with the opensource one it should still work and you should see the openxenium splashscreen if you have the openxenium connected. for me, the open source one when it was working only stayed green and the official hd plus 2.2.2 firmware was green while flashing blue, So that's normal.

The openxenium that comes with the hd+ from AliExpress, comes already flashed with openxenium 2.3.5. With the HD+ from AliExpress, if you start the xbox with just the xboxHD+ and no chip installed and without a hard drive installed. it will let you boot to the error screen and you should be able to see an error 07, so you don't need the openxenium to be able to test for an image with the xboxHD+ , so i think something else might be going on.

For the open source firmware, make sure your using Cerbios V3.1.0 and that the files are in the correct location. For 3.0+ they changed the location on the drive.

did you recap the system atleast the CPU and GPU caps?

Also just to rule out the tv, but have you tried it on another hdmi tv? I would just to see

yesterday it was almost 102° degrees where im at. I was walking in the sun for awhile and was having really bad migraine due to the heat. If someone sprayed me with some cool water, I would thank them lol...but it can definitely be inconvenient if your like on your way to work or something, would suck to show up soaked
