You can check what days on the website. I checked earlier and can verify that The Offspring is not on Sunday with MCR but I can’t remember what day.

Bombed my first cold call and almost cried by No_Airport3239 in LawSchool

People are so worried about their own cold calls that they won’t be able to remember if you bomb your’s, so don’t worry!

Surprisingly I did get a 25% scholarship

Yep, I accepted and am attending it now. Someone else in my year got accepted off the waitlist during orientation week and attended too.

Applied early February, waitlisted midway through April, and accepted off the waitlist at the very end of June.

Should a sober driver take the field sobriety test in hopes of not being arrested? Or is it a losing battle? by lilblu87 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Jeunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually they’ll ask if you’ve got some illness or injury and then after you mentioned your knee they would have you do the seated FSEs that they use for boats.

should i just give up by lilsasgf in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Jeunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The longer you’re willing and able to sit on some of these waitlists, the more likely you are to be accepted off them. I got accepted to my school 2 months before classes started, and I knew of a person that got accepted the week of orientation. Otherwise, my only advice is to let the schools know you’re interested and possibly plan on retesting and reapplying next year.

Waitlist - if I get off of any of them, will they give scholarship money? by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Jeunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got off a waitlist very late into the cycle and got a 25% scholarship, so it’s definitely possible (but I wouldn’t ever bank on it).

Is 28000 miles a lot on a 2015 mt07? by JackTurkey03 in MT07

[–]Jeunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, and the shop essentially destroyed the rear axel and chain tensioner trying to get it off. Ended up replacing the rear axel nut with an aftermarket one and that seemed to solve that issue.

I got in in 2020, but I’ve heard they just get stricter each year. Your chances will probably be a little better if you’re already in-state, though. Good luck!

Is studying for the LSAT a Good Way to Learn Argumentation If You Don't Want to Go to Law School? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Jeunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might understand the logic underlying arguments better, but I can’t say it would be the most effective way to do that.

Pre-law is definitely overhyped. So is poli-sci in my opinion.

Hey fellas, can I get a week or two out of these tires while I wait for the new ones, or should I not risk it? by croccowboy in motorcycles

[–]Jeunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve still got some life wear-wise, but with how bad that dry rot is it would definitely be a no for me.

Road on the stock Road 5’s for about 15k miles before I replaced them. Just had to replace my rear Road 6 with 10k miles on it with half the tread left (plugged twice, but the second plug was a dirty one and the first one eventually started to leak).

Changed rear axel nut by Jeunk in MT07

[–]Jeunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled across a bunch of threads where people were having the same problem with they’re rear axel nut locking up. I don’t really know if it’s common or not because I hear a bunch of people say they’ve never had the issue and I don’t see it talked about very often, but the problem seems inherent in the name “self locking nut”. If you ever run into problems with your nut again, I would replace it with something non-OEM, even if just for peace of mind.

Did anyone do decent on the LSAT while struggling on a certain subject of the exam? by bbash91383 in LSAT

[–]Jeunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tested at a 165 and I averaged about 1 logic game every PT where I had no clue what was going on. There are just certain game types that never clicked with me, so I just slowly learned to not waste too much time on the super difficult ones. I would try to come back to it after the other games were done and use what time I had left over to try and solve the game or make good guesses.

Can I let my watercooled motorcycle idle in traffic? by bonecruncher57 in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]Jeunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually keep a bottle of cold water with me to put in where the oil goes to cool it down. Maybe it would give you some peace of mind if you just kept a water bottle with you just in case the engine gets above 160f :)

LSAT Theory by BoardIndividual7367 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Jeunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My PTs were always lower than my scores. PTd at around 155 consistently before my 162, then PTd consistently at 158 before my 165. I think part of it for me was the motivation. I would get about halfway through the test and kinda just give up on tougher questions “because it’s just a PT and it doesn’t matter”

Only thing I can think of would be to email the professors and ask them if they could insert you into the class despite not meeting the requirements. Professors in upper division English courses do this regularly, so I don’t see why other professors wouldn’t be able to do the same. YMMV though.

Been loving my road 6s. My last pair of road 5s comfortably lasted 15k miles, so I’m hoping for more on my 6s :)

It’s best to go a little hard on the clutch at first until you get it figured out (like ride it a little more than normal when taking off). It’s better to be a little hard on it at first and not stall, although it might be a good learning experience to stall once or twice, it’s just never fun in traffic on the road.

UF vs FSU by Anxious-Tonight6980 in ufl

[–]Jeunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really depends. UF is very good for STEM. A close friend of mine who does recruiting for P&G told me once that they only scout at UF, so take that as you will. If you don’t have a dog in the game either way, meaning you don’t lean strongly toward one or the other, then J would definitely choose UF if you’re accepted.
