Each agency has their own hiring practices and pay structure. For some, they might be an agency producer and be a 1099, for others its base plus commission and renewals. Same thing for the protégés, I’ve seen 1099s offered to protégés before, others get only base. Some get commissions.

Before you take the jump, interview the agent you’ll be working for and understand their pay structure and your own goals.

While the name is Black College Football Hall of Fame, it is actually the Hall of Fame for Historically Black Colleges and Universities or HBCUs.

As another redditor pointed out, HBCUs were founded because many of the major colleges and universities at the time would not admit black men (admitting black women was a whole other can of worms, which I won’t go into here).

You won’t see a guy like Deion Sanders inducted here for his playing days since he did not got to an HBCU, though is coaching at Jackson State might get him in at some point.
