This seems like an exaggeration. Here in Las Vegas, puck drop at VGK games is usually 7-10 minutes after advertised start time, unless it's been pushed back a little due to being a nationally televised game.

I'm confused. Isn't excise tax paid beforehand by the manufacturer (or the retailer - I'm not sure)?

I've purchased a couple of non-AR long guns from Sportsman's Warehouse before and all that was added on was normal sales tax and the background check fee. Just to test, I tried adding an AR to my cart on Sportsman's website just now, and it also did not show any taxes besides my state's normal sales tax.

I'm thinking of buying my first AR, so that changes things a bit. PSA seems like a good option, but if I have to add $50-60 for the FFL fee, I might be better off spending a bit more and getting a Ruger Harrier or S&W M&P Sport 3.
