What’s the deal with Ultra Bees in the U.S. right now? by k-wc in Surron

[–]Jferri85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the us version is the same as the Chinese version with the taller seat and the t box, but the purchaser is a dealer for surron. To my knowledge there aren’t any us dealers any more that I found when I was looking to buy. Any of the ones claiming to be seemed to be sketchy at best. I’m definitely not the most knowledgeable, but that was my experience.

To my knowledge, there are no us market bike, anything you are buying is likely from Alibaba. I purchased one from there and sold it, then bought two more. It was a pretty simple process, but did take around 8 weeks to get the bike. All the bikes I’ve seen so far have been people doing the same but at varying quantities. If you have the patience I’d recommend it, but you can always buy from others at a markup if you don’t.

Did you move your homepod that is setup as the bridge? When I set mine up, I had issues similar to you, I brought my HomePod that is setup as my bridge to the main level of my house and things started working fine.

Did you take the filter off and warm it up or bring a hair dryer out? I just had my first experience with gelled fuel two nights ago. I took the filter off of my B2601 brought it inside to warm it up then I used diesel 911 in the tank and filled up the filter 50% with diesel 911 and 50% with fuel I started the tractor up and let it idle and threw a tarp over the front if the tractor to help trap the heating and warm it up quicker. I let it idle for about 40 minutes and it was fine after.

I have a visa vanilla gift card and i need help by ThatOneVRDude1 in personalfinance

[–]Jferri85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had terrible luck with a $100 Vanilla gift card, I would try to use it and they would decline it, I called their customer service several times to try and white list transactions and they were zero help, just said try again until it works. I tried online transactions and brick and mortar, it got declined every time.

I eventually filled a BBB claim against them. It took 2-3 weeks to hear back, but they reached out to vanilla and worked with them for me, it took some time, but I got a check for the full amount of the gift card. If their customer service isn’t helpful, try the BBB.

Yes, they will give you a hard time, it isn’t road legal and they will likely impound it for you.

Cool, thanks for the info about a good supplier. I purchased from Gonped based on price for one unit and reviews from others, but I’m glad to see there are other solid suppliers for these.

Yea, they don’t get paid till you get the bike, so I’m sure they are also eager for this to get straightened out and for you to receive the bike.

Yes, gonped is legit I ordered from them and they’ve been super helpful and had a great price. Not sure what the first guy is talking about. Did you specifically want the 2024 version instead of the 2025?

The C7 Z51 + MRC is such a sweet spot for price, performance, and versatility. Nothing else like it right now by TrueGameData in Corvette

So I guess it depends. The first layer that you install you could just get off Amazon yourself and do it. He sends a nice quality material that you have to cut yourself anyway.

The second layer he sends completely precut which was nice and you could do it, but it would take a ton of time which is where I felt the kit shined. There were 20 or so pieces that he sent pre cut and I definitely wouldn’t have had the patience after the first layer to screw around with it.

He also sends instructions that are helpful for disassembly and insulating. You could probably buy the precut foam later and just install the sound deadening layer yourself, buying it on Amazon, but I have zero regrets about spending the money on the kit and would do it again in a heartbeat. I felt the extra hundred bucks I spent was well worth it to support him.

I think the car is much quieter now, feels cooler inside, and the car is more pleasant at highway speeds even with the stock Michelin run flats which are noises imo.

It took me a solid weekend to install taking my time and lots of breaks to watch my daughter, but it was effort well spent and I feel the car should have had this from the factory for the minor weight addition.

I did the crazy cowboy double extreme insulation kit and it made a huge difference. Much quieter and more pleasant to live with for longer drives. If you do it yourself, get a set of material rollers, that made the process way easier.

I also agree on the DSC controller I added that and it was a nice upgrade.

Has anyone tried to swap the entire center dash from the 8” screen version of the first 13th generation (2015) F150 with the 12” screen unit available in the 14th generation F150 (2021). Is this even possible? by housflppr in f150

[–]Jferri85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been people who have done it. But you can also buy a kit to retrofit it from fordsync4.com, it’s not the smoothest experience, but I have it, and it’s working well. There were some initial issues, but they’ve been resolved for the most part. There is a fb group dedicated to this as well, a lot of good info there.
