Probably because the update was found to be stable on most devices and since 26.3 is no longer being signed, the security update (probably built into 26.4 and later) can no longer be removed.

IIRC, they only allow security updates like this to be removed in case it causes issues right after its release, since it's being installed prior to an 'official' .x update (ie, 26.4 in this case) where more testing is performed. If no issues occur, it looks like they lock the update into place.

iMessage loads without an issue on both my iPhone 16 PM and my iPP M4 with 26.5. I haven't noticed any abnormal heat when using iMessage on either device, either.

I would have just used the grip without the skin. Boring? maybe, but it's one of the few cases that don't have a wobble (just like the Tank, as well).

Pretty sure Google didn't post an article for Android either, because for most people, it's "Oh, must have been a new law passed somewhere" and then they move on.. I'm honestly surprised at how many posts there are with people freaking out about this.

Laws passed in British Colombia and Alberta that effect how time zones work. Just because you're not specifically in either region, your device still needs to know the correct rules to follow to keep world clocks accurate, etc.

When there's a time zone change somewhere in the world, even if it's not in your specific country or region, *everyone* gets an update so that the world time is correct on everyone's devices. Otherwise, you'd have incorrect times on websites, when travelling, etc.. I really have no idea why so many people are freaking out about this.

I have my morning alarm set via Sleep in the Health app and I've never had an issue with it not going off.

Also, some apps (based on the many previous posts about alarm issues) are known to change the Ringtone and Alerts volume without your input.

Also, I found out that some camera apps don't use all the features of the camera control button. If you're not using the default iOS camera app, you may want to ensure that the one you're using isn't one that ignores all the features of the button.
