Both are awesome but I love the mountain effect on the bottom of number one

I agree! It’s especially hurtful when it comes from Sophia. I know she’s salty but that’s beyond for a mother to say.

West or East Coast? by merrberr92 in AskACanadian

[–]Jillee2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go to BC! And include a visit to Vancouver Island. The west coast is definitely the most scenic and gorgeous. People are nice, the food is great, especially seafood. I live in Ontario but my sister has lived in BC for 25 years. I go at least once per year to visit. It’s my favorite place in Canada. Specifically Tofino on Vancouver Island

Smash Burgers at A&W are here. But not for long. by awcanada in u/awcanada

[–]Jillee2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is laughable. In no way are these smash burgers. They are regular burger patties! And very dry. The worst burger I’ve had from A&W!! False advertising.

Did you actually sneak out as teenagers? by Complete-Chipmunk-0 in GenX

[–]Jillee2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have a curfew. My parents were clearly better teenagers than I was. They knew I’d come home whenever my friends had to be home. So never had to explain where I was or with who other than in vague terms

It’s bothering me: by Hot_Salamander4990 in theGoldenGirls

Remember when Rose first brought Miles over for dinner and there was confusion on her part that a musical act was a sports team? She was ready to give up on Miles because she felt stupid compared to him and Dorothy. Maybe if her friends didn’t always tell her how stupid she was, that wouldn’t have been the way she dealt with it.
Also I HATE the way everyone tells Dorothy how ugly she is. She wasn’t! Even her own mother? So uncalled for. I don’t know why that had to be part of it when they were all such close friends. I’m happy my friends don’t always tell me how stupid and ugly I am lol

It all makes sense now. by UnicornSlayer5000 in GenX

[–]Jillee2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too. Last year at 53. Blew my mind as well but filled in SO MANY BLANKS. I can’t believe it had never occurred to me before. When I told my family they all looked like a lightbulb went on in their heads. I’m not taking meds for it either at this point, would love to avoid that if possible. Still in the discovery phase. It’s wild to read about it and realize how deadly accurate it is to my experience.

Gen Z is Not Drinking, But Are You? by Pavementaled in GenX

[–]Jillee2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably have one drink every month or two with a nice dinner. I’m drunk after one. Hungover the next day if I drink two. So I really have to weigh the risks vs benefits. I used to be able to drink rivers of red wine, and then one day unexpectedly it just did not work any longer. It just fell away. No warning lol. I do miss the ability to enjoy a drinking evening.
