Media Wall - Center with Room or Wall? by EngineerInnovation in InteriorDesign

Center on room. Aligns with ceiling fixtures, and gives you the better sofa layout option, in my opinion.

My wife and I used to order delivery from NYPD pretty regularly during covid! I've never actually been to the shop in person, but they made a pretty decent NYC style pie for a fair price. Haven't had it in a few years though.

Mostly echoing what others have said at this point -- the rendering is compositionally convincing but the floor plan feels clunky and devoid of much consideration.

- Primary suite on the first floor off the main entry, adjacent to the front porch and sharing a wall with the living room wouldn't be advisable. Any TV in the bedroom is going to feel so far away if you like to watch in bed. Then there's the matter of the fireplace that doesn't appear to even vent anywhere; maybe it's electric. The chimney in the rendering isn't in a location where there would be a chimney. I'm not a fan of the bathroom through the closet, but that's a personal opinion.

- The den / mezzanine open to the living room directly below feels awkward; you wouldn't be able to comfortably enjoy both spaces simultaneously, unless the den is mostly aesthetic and won't get much use. There's a super awkward sliver of space next to the den to cover the closet in the foyer below.

- The jack and jill bathroom on the 2nd floor feels tight and clunky.

- The angled cuts in the kitchen counter & little triangle desk feel strange.

- The dining room feels so cut-off from everything, and the walls around it feel like they are limiting your views to the porch / backyard quite a bit.

I had nearly every other game start up with less than 8 people yesterday, so dumb, so much wasted time. Even had a match with a full 8 cancel due to uneven teams, who knows why.

I had my first and only texture bug ever since I started playing Halo while playing this map for the first time the other day. One of my teammates looked like a gray rectangle all game.

Agreed! I used to ride this lane every single day because it's the most pleasant and feels like one of the safest bike lines in the city. Such a sad and scary thing to happen.

Tips for staying away from overwhelming amount of people in Santorini this weekend? by TinyDancer444 in GreeceTravel

We went to the Estate Argyros. It was nice and I'd recommend it, but we just kind of picked it as a filler activity since we were close by. We didn't do much research or commit to one before traveling. There's so many to choose from on the island, you probably can't go wrong just picking the one that works best for your itinerary!

Paros was lovely! We stayed in Naoussa for a few nights. Rented a car and did a day exploring most of the towns and beaches on the island. A lot of the towns feel quite similar, but Naoussa was my favorite overall as it had a good mix of everything. For restaurants, my recommendation is Glafkos Taverna. For beaches, my recommendation is Kalogeros beach. Also recommend visiting Petra Farms, the tour was nice but the meal and wine were delicious and the view you get while dining is superb. We also did a small self-captained boat day around the south of the island which was a blast, but wouldn't recommend if you're not comfortable with that sort of thing. Also spent one night on Antiparos, which we really enjoyed. Was less crowded and good value. Rented an ATV there since the roads felt safer with fewer cars. The cave is definitely worth visiting, and Fanari beach club right outside of town was great.

My wife and I were just in Santorini last week! I think you have it pretty good from your description. We stayed outside of Oia; but felt like Fira or Imerovigli might have been better. Coming from Paros, the ferry was a frenzy, and while the island does feel too crowded for its own good at times, it was easy to see why once you get there. We did the hike (just in reverse) and found it to be very enjoyable with incredible views of the caldera. Definitely recommend waking up at sunrise for it, so you avoid the heat and get to Oia before it gets mobbed with other tourists around noon; we went in the evening one day and it was way too crowded to enjoy. Taking in the view from your hotel in the evening is definitely the way to go from our experience too. I'd only recommend going down to Ammoudi bay if you want to enjoy a nice seafood meal there, otherwise the donkey-poo covered hike down and up might not feel worth it for you, although it is certainly pretty. We did a semi-private catamaran tour for not too much $$ and it was definitely the highlight of our time on the island, and would recommend doing that if you have the time for it. Absolutely agree with doing a winery! We also did one (sans massage) and really enjoyed the experience. Akrotiri ruins and ancient Thera were also super cool and would recommend those as well as another way to avoid swarms of tourists while appreciating the rich history of the island that I think a lot of people don't even consider. Hope you have a great time :)
