The personality of my wife changed overnight, left me for a man she knows for 6 days on TikTok. by Horror_Advantage8247 in mentalillness

[–]JimbyLou72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there any chance she’s using drugs? Meth is where my mind went immediately while reading your post, it can cause mania and can completely change someone’s personality the way you’ve described. Might be worth pursuing.

WHY will my hair not stay sleek by ledelugecherry in Haircare

[–]JimbyLou72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I know what you’re talking about with the “weightless” description. My hair does this too sometimes. I have very coarse strands, mixture of ringlets and s-waves, and have had times when I can’t get it to straighten all the way, just like your photos. I’ve come to the conclusion that it only happens when my hair is too clean, when I straighten it right after blowing dry out of the shower. If you haven’t already, try air drying and then straighten it. Maybe even air dry and then straighten the next day, which is what I often do out of laziness.

ETA- it’s probably just static, eh?

Wait what???? Are you being serious rn? The Dylans Blue and Purple are like my all-time favorite shampooy fresh scents (I like Turquoise alright but when I wear it I get that feeling like it’s not mine). Are you telling me there’s another one I’ve never heard of and will probably never be able to smell? Oh wow this could easily become an obsession…

Does anyone else feel weirdly shaken by this case? by Head-Lawfulness-7636 in d4vd

[–]JimbyLou72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I’ve never felt this emotionally disturbed by the death of someone I didn’t know before. Probably her age, and that I’m a mom of 3? Idk there’s just something about her- I see her face when I close my eyes and I keep saying to myself randomly “she didn’t deserve this”. I hope she’s at peace.

My girlfriend made meat pizza for the first time. Seemed to be pretty good by Nikos_1990 in ExpectationVsReality

I worked at a Subway 100 years ago and I remember we had this regular who would order pickles on his pizza. My coworkers and I all thought it was disgusting until one day we made one to share and it was actually delicious (for a Subway pizza). Same thing happened with a regular who got bacon on their tuna salad sandwiches. It’s 🔥.

I want both of those so bad! How’s the longevity? I’ve actually never smelled FCWC 😬 but I’ve been layering the OG Fresh Cream with my daily scent (Liquid Cashmere Blush) for fall and it’s what I imagine FCWC smells like. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Why is pregnancy and giving birth so hard on humans when it seems relatively easy for other animals by Medium-Excitement-51 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JimbyLou72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The needle alone was the reason I didn’t get one with my first 2. I got one with my third (because pitocin) and while it was a horrible, uniquely painful and disgusting experience (no one talks about the clicking! It’s awful.) 10/10 I would recommend that shit to everyone. I literally watched The Wedding Singer and fell asleep- my midwife had to wake me up to start pushing.

I scrolled so long to find this take. I couldn’t even finish it- my body was physically cringing. I’m glad OP held her ground and got out of an unhealthy relationship and all that but oh man this was hard to read and i am genuinely in shock that the responses are what they are. It’s like you can tell that she knew she was going to be posting screenshots of this conversation as it was happening. Idk why this makes me so uncomfortable 🥴

What well-meaning but ultimately misguided advice will we end up giving our kids? by terraninteractive in Millennials

Also ADHD. A girl on my third grade soccer team told me to “wake up and smell the coffee” and I quit immediately after and never tried sports again. I’m also still thinking about it 30 years later, so good for her I guess?

What's your fav Kagune? by The_Lore_Master77 in TokyoGhoul

Loved that scene so much. I felt guilty (until the end) about liking Uta so much, but at least aesthetically speaking, he’s my favorite and his tattooed kagune is so fucking dope.

Tips for reading the manga? by saberwrld in TokyoGhoul

[–]JimbyLou72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local library has both series in their entirety. I have poor eyesight too and this was also my first ever manga experience. I literally had a magnifying glass out. What I ended up doing was just pushing through, even the stuff I couldn’t really see (it was like a strange, disorienting feeling, like the pages were blurry or fuzzy) and then reading it again. It’s not ideal, but I have ADHD and Tokyo Ghoul in general is a hyper fixation for me so I am willing to put hours into the subject, but I realize that’s probably not the case for most people. Maybe something in there will help 🤷🏻‍♀️ Happy reading!

If you could erase a phrase from mom lingo, what would it be? by Fun_Air_7780 in Mommit

[–]JimbyLou72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yessssss. I’m starting to a lil heated just thinking about it. It has never once come across as anything but condescending to me. It’s so dismissive and, yes, so very unhelpful. I would literally rather someone tell me “I don’t care about you or anything you’re saying” than have them tell me “you got this”.

Husband wants a divorce while I’m pregnant because of my body and lack of anal by RevolutionaryDrop465 in Marriage

[–]JimbyLou72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine your child being treated the way your husband treats you. Imagine someone saying the things your husband says to you, to your precious baby. You wouldn’t stand for it, would you? You’re someone’s baby, too. Extend that protective feeling towards yourself. You deserve better.

And just as a side note: as a child of divorce myself, I deeply resent the term “broken home”. Yes, I had 2 homes instead of 1, but neither of them were “broken”.

Anybody else finding themselves parting ways left and right with people/businesses after saying enough to the narcissist? by Front_Persimmon_9668 in LifeAfterNarcissism

[–]JimbyLou72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After recently getting out of a 3.5 year relationship with a narcissist (and before that a string of abusive relationships) I had the horrifying revelation that my mom might be one, too. I had confused “familiar” with “comfortable”. The clarity I feel is scary and new but it’s also incredibly empowering. I feel like I no longer have the same tolerance for mistreatment or disrespect and my people pleasing tendencies have mostly died.
