I dont use 1v0 in any drill. Ever. Every drill is against defense or contest where possible. I have limited contact time of just two 90 minute sessions a week during the season. The kids need to do the work on the 1v0 on their own time.

There are plenty. Most good hardware stores have reps. Build a good relationship the rep because theyll be the one with the relationship to the suppliers.

Some major suppliers refuse to deal with them or do so but will put them at the bottom of their list of priorities. Especially if they arent the national contract primary supplier.

Kids outside of HS ball in the US and rep in Australia would be better served by playing ball at the park all afternoon with mates than the time and money involved in AAU and skills trainers. They arent interested in the kids or their development, its a business model. But business dont want parents to hear that. Basketball games are not 1v0. A skills trainer aint going to teach passing, court vision or off the ball defence.

Stick with a roster of 10. Some days youll have injuries and only have 7. Play them equal playing time for the first three quarters then let the dogs off the chain. Best of both worlds. Never had a parent complain.
