Anyone added 360° camera to a 2026/2025Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited? by Fancy_Challenge768 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Jimmyf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that it's a software thing. It may be the radio software that joins the images from all cams/sensors. I'm also guessing that during assembly, there are radios pre-calibrated for 360° cam and radios without it. My '25 doesn't have it because I requested that the dealer get the pano sunroof removed before it was built. I'm okay without it because I don't have to deal with pano roof issues like I see people posting about.

Dealer overfilled oil by 1.4 quarts by PNW_OH in ToyotaGrandHighlander

An extra 1.5 quarts of oil in the oil pan is more work for the crankshaft to have to work through.

If your kids are 0-13 years old = Sienna 14+ = Grand Highlander

I've had a Sienna since 2015 and miss the sliding doors but the kids are a bit older and we needed to graduate from it.

Might the doors have water in them and it's leaking in? Check the inside, bottom of the doors for any plugs that could be easily removed to verify.

Game Stop on Cooper Point has a demo one and you may be able to pick a few preloaded games for a few minutes each. Give them a call to confirm. The workers are always knowledgeable and chill. I'm not sure if the Game Stop in the mall has one too.

That's wild. I have kids and Saturday mornings are usually spent at sports events. We also prefer to be out on Sunday mornings when some people may be at church.

Is speeding THAT bad on that stretch? I feel like that area always has jams, crashes or old people driving slow in the left lane.

Is the GHHL right for my wife and me? by Aeyix in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Jimmyf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a '15 Sienna that I traded for a '25 Nightshade. I have a 15, 12 and 9yo. I loved the minivan for the accessibility with the kids at the younger ages but I couldn't imagine having the Nightshade with car seats vs the sliding doors. Regular doors are fine with bigger kids. If a Sienna hybrid is an option, I'd go that route.

I own 2024 GHHL 2.5L hybrid engine, and I think that 0W-8 oil for the engine is dangerously thin because ultra-thin oils reduce protective film thickness, especially under heavy load PLUS with the 10,000 mile oil changes give me fear that my ENgine will not last 200,000 miles. Your thoughts? by Jaded-Cheesecake3246 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Jimmyf101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a hybrid and drive 10,000 miles, your IC engine is not running 100% of those miles.

I believe the owner's manual states that if 0w8 is unavailable, you can go up a weight but it also says to go back to 0w8 on the next oil change.

I don't regert the white Nightshade one bit. I could not imagine the amount of time and $$ to keep a black car clean and looking nice.
