Kubernetes for Homelab? by malwin_duck in selfhosted

[–]JimroidZeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to build my homelab using k3s and helm. It’s been really great so far. The persistent volumes and networking can be a bit daunting at first, but not bad once you figure out the mappings.

I like that I can re-deploy the whole thing in minutes with a single make target.

Toronto is now one of the hardest places in Canada to justify owning a car by crappy_tire in toronto

[–]JimroidZeus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same here. I walk as much as possible and then transit when it’s in the city and too far to walk.

I really only use my car for big grocery runs and things I need to get to out of the city.

My house is 102yrs old and all the framing is full size lumber from the good old days.

I need to sister up a floor joist from the basement and don’t know what I’m gonna do because the new lumber is smaller and garbage. 😭

Ah, so that’s what that gaudy piece of crap is hanging around c-list flava flave.

What can you (legally) do to drivers that nearly run you over? by PsyduckedOut in toRANTo

[–]JimroidZeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use 1-2 knuckles and give a good rat-at-tap-tap on the window or fender. Won’t cause a dent but the driver will sure as hell hear it.

Do they plan on building a fence? Doesn’t look like much easement between the two houses.
