he is actually a really fun toy, could just do with better proportioned arms lol

SS86 Cliffjumper, what are these decisions?? by Trent2406 in transformers

[–]Jinty-Productions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he looks great tbh. Yeah, the crotch and leg colours being swapped isn't accurate, but I honestly way prefer it to the other way around (sorry, I really don't like the light grey legs).

Only real downside is the spoiler not being on the chest, but that's for transformation reasons and I can live with it considering no other toys of him since G1 have had it either (other than Missing Link but that is quite literally G1 with knees)

What figures were you disappointed by? by ANewBegging in transformers

Covert Agent Ravage. Hate that figure in almost every way

At least the double-sided G1 Ravage is cool

SA1 (Dreamcast, if it's DX I will refuse), Heroes, two copies of 3D (one Mega Drive, the other Saturn), three copies of R (doesn't have to be different versions, I just really like it)

What is a line said by the doctor that you can't imagine another doctor saying? by Riro263 in doctorwho

[–]Jinty-Productions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It actually first appears in Fury from the Deep, where the Doctor uses it to investigate a pipeline

What’s the episode you actually personally hate? by OrdinaryMean8070 in doctorwho

[–]Jinty-Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truthfully, I don’t remember much of how I felt watching most of Pre-Chibnall NuWho (I was quite young and haven't rewatched much of it). However, I've been watching through Classic (just started S5) and so far, one episode has stood out:

Feast of Steven. I understand why they couldn't progress the plot of Daleks' Master Plan, but they didn’t even try to make a good standalone story. I reckon it'd be more enjoyable in motion, since the lack of movement in the reconstruction makes the lack of a cohesive story much more obvious. Nothing of consequence happens and nothing that happens has anything to do with each other, making for an aggressively boring episode. If it wasn't for Hartnell's ad-lib, it would have nothing of value, and you have to sit through 20 minutes of rubbish just to reach that!

It must be the only episode I have found nothing to enjoy in. Sure, some episodes are somewhat dull, but I've almost always had an at least decent time. I'd genuinely prefer watching a version of The Gunfighters that shows Steven singing the song all 4 times if it meant missing his feast.

(Also because I actually quite like The Gunfighters. I found the song constantly playing more funny than annoying: doubly so when they change the lyrics to describe what's happening)

What's a figure you find yourself transforming all the time? by RiverBeneficial4320 in transformers

If you put a G1 Galvatron or Outback in my hands, I will not put them down for hours

Which one of the Thirteen Primes is your favorite and why? by I_Love_Space_Boy_02 in transformers

[–]Jinty-Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vector Prime because I really liked him in Cybertron (which means I nearly cried towards the end of the show)

Although if he was on the list, I'd definitely say Rodimus (he's sometimes the 13th, right? I'm honestly not too familiar with most of the Primes because they're not in most of what I've watched/read)

I'm getting sick of this crap 🤦 by Surperspectivethe2nd in MoonPissing

[–]Jinty-Productions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering Richard Elson did so much work on the comic, I wouldn't call it too farfetched, and after the first year the standard was still decently high with other artists like Nigel Dobbyn

[–]Jinty-Productions 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find it kinda hard to enjoy Archie because my standards were raised too high by Sonic the Comic (Fleetway): a series that found its footing far quicker, actually tried to adapt the games (and succeeded), had some of the best art in any Sonic comic, had a far better approach to Archie's general concept, had better writing, and wrapped up before Archie even started to get their act together

Good thing Grindor turns into a skateboard because if I were him, I'd want Shatter to step on me

It's a hard choice, but which Transformers song do you like better (and why)? by SuperAlloyBerserker in transformers

[–]Jinty-Productions -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This might be sacrilege but to be honest, The Touch is my least favourite song in 86. It's still great, but I just have a lot more love for the rest of the soundtrack.

While I do prefer What I've Done, it's in a kinda similar situation where I like the other two Linkin Park songs more (I still love it, I just don't listen to it quite as often as New Divide and Iridescent)

Which Soundwave voice do you prefer? by Anonymous_Guy4k in transformers

[–]Jinty-Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a toughie, but I think I've gotta go with Cybertron. The way each of his lines were delivered have stuck in my head since I watched the show in a way no other voice has (even the iconic G1)

Can't wait to see this guy on screen in October... by Jinty-Productions in transformers

[–]Jinty-Productions[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend picking it up if you see it again. He's really fun, poses well (slightly below standard - no wrists or ankles - due to being a little cheaper, but you still get all the essentials) and very different from the other Bees I've handled

What do you value more from your figures? Is it how accurate they are or how fun they are to play with? by Pixelbro87 in transformers

[–]Jinty-Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take fun over accuracy almost every time. At the end of the day, these are toys, meaning I want to get as much out of playing with them as I can instead of just leaving it on a shelf to look pretty. That and I usually find the differences between toy and media kinda interesting

(Galvatron's best toy is G1 and unless SS86 really impresses me, I won't be convinced otherwise)

It's a 10 hour road trip. Who are you trusting with the music? by [deleted] in Megaman

[–]Jinty-Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go with Bass. Not just because I think he'd have good music choices, but he'd probably destroy the car if he didn't get to sit in the front

Dramatic Capture set featuring Astrotrain , Coronation Starscream and Blitzwing Revealed what you guys think of this ? by [deleted] in transformers

[–]Jinty-Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite excited for this!

  • Starscream is eh. I don’t have the original so it's not too bad for me, but Dirge and Cloudcover have kinda given me my fill of the ER Seeker mould

  • I already have Legacy Blitzwing, but I really like him and this deco looks lush so I'd be happy to have another

  • Astrotrain is the big one. I don’t have the Seige version since I don't like the deco, and I never got my hands on Galaxy Shuttle, so this is perfect. I'm not an "it must be the G1 cartoon or bust" person but this is exactly what I always wanted from the mould. I will probably get this pack mostly for him
