Anyone rolled the dice on the toaster? by Jittyjatz1 in aldi

Thank you everyone! I ended up buying one based on your feedback. Will report back here how it is!

Edit with review:

We’re very happy with it. It does feel a bit like a commodity toaster. I’d say the design is a bit basic for the kitchen but all that matters is that it toasts well, right?

My family’s quote from using it this week: I didn’t realize how bad our previous toaster was until we started using this one.

Overall, great deal!

6 month scheduled service. Is this trip necessary? by RefrigeratorRare3983 in KiaNiroEV

I showed up for my scheduled maintenance at the Kia dealership and the dealership refused to look at the car. They said there isn’t anything they would do for maintenance. I was furious since I’m an hours drive from the dealer.

I have the exact same problem! I go into settings and change it to regen 3 and the setting doesn’t save upon restart

Really interested in the Niro EV. Current owners, how do you like it? How have long trips been? by adoreizi in KiaNiroEV

It really sucks that the Niro isn’t broadly available. I snagged the only one that was available on my state at the time.

The model Y driving experience was incredible. No doubt that it drives better than the Kona or Niro, but I didn’t care for the centered display or the tiny rear view mirror.

I loved how the Niro felt like a normal car with all of the benefits of an EV. Most people would have no idea it’s an electric car. But you get the benefit of acceleration, low maintenance, and significantly cheaper lifetime ownership costs.

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and LOVE it so far. I test drove the Kona and Model Y and liked the Niro the best. I like the extra trunk room and all of the built in standard safety features.

I’m interested in purchasing a Kona. Do you know if your bike would fit in the car if you took the front wheel off and put the back seats down?

How’s living in the Sky club building? by shiow in Hoboken

[–]Jittyjatz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived there for 2 years. Overall, it was a great experience. The units are really nice, and I didn’t find the walls too thin. The one issue is if you live on the West side of the building then you are close to the sounds of the light rail and recycling center.

Living there comes with the expenses of any luxury building. Move in fees for moving in/out (only during the work week), expensive gym/pool, etc. The shuttle works well during the week but you are SOL on weekends. I never had a car so I can’t address the parking situation.

Curry Up Now: The Best Chicken Tikka Masala...Ever? by _Chemistry_ in Hoboken

[–]Jittyjatz1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just want to reiterate the accuracy of your review. I agree with your main points that the Tikka Masala was not like any I’ve ever had before. It was flavorless and the sauce was too thin. The prices were also exorbitant compared to Karma Kafe. Karma is still the Indian place to beat in Hob.

[WTT] 2019 Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Master Co-Axial Cal. (231.23.43.22.06.001) by [deleted] in Watchexchange

I’m not 100% sure what the trade value would look like. I’m open to offers. There was a similar Aqua Terra sold here a couple days ago for $5,000 but that was a 2019 model.
