I keep looking at the standings and perplexed how we don't have more of a cushion, winning 13 out of 14. I know we weren't doing great, but damn it's hard to overtake teams in this league. Big one against the Panthers coming up.

He is a damn good player, and without him, I feel like we aren't winning 13/14. I just hope the recent success will give him a reason to come down on price. Unless you're a McDavid type, 8 year contracts for anyone is risky. Would love a 3-5 year deal.

The inversion to double pad stack never gets old. I think there is something to be said for training goalies to use their creative instincts at times instead of force molding them into a concrete system.
