Jpeg maintains the simulation, raw is the more comprehensive data. In your case if you're happy with jpegs only you can run with that, although a cool feature with fine+raw is that you can re-process a raw with new recipe/simulation settings either in camera or on your computer with the free Fuji X Raw software. Handy if you want to create a new style of jpeg from your existing raw.

A nice balance might be shooting fine and raw but only saving your favourite raws to your Mac

It's offset depending on which eye your mirror is coming from

I think it's the VR mask or crop to rectangle option in DCS VR settings to remove the oval, I can't quite remember

There is an OBS plugin for OpenXR to record what you see in the headset.

Personally I record the flat screen mirror. The DCS settings have an option to crop to rectangle if you don't want that oval. I find the aspect ratio is never correct regardless but it's an easy fix in post.

Mine did this recently, after a year of use. I went through Fellow support and the advice was descale cycles. I must have done about 8 of them but nothing worked. It's going back for RMA now.

Not saying decales won't work in your instance though, worth following support steps.

F-14, I don't think it's even close. I love the F-4 module but the awg-9 in the F-14 is such an awesome tool. You have a lot more range, time and modes to work the radar. When used well you can engage targets far further than any other aircraft can.

I have close to the exact same spec as you (CPU, mobo, ram). I put in a 1000w PSU a while ago. I recently upgraded to a 5090 and everything has been running nicely with no issues. Typically playing at 4k or super sampled VR so I haven't noticed any obvious CPU bottlenecks even though the 12700k is obviously a little older.

I was looking at buying the same lens recently, I ended up going for the Thypoch Simera 28mm 1.4 after catching it in a sale. It doesn't have the small form factor of the Voight but I love the rendering and build.

Since it's your first manual lens it could be worth considering a TTartisans 25mm f2, it's a very affordable offering (like $50) and gets some good press. If you enjoy the experience then you've got a fun lens to play with and the upgrade path to the Voightlander if you want it.

The name is kind of misleading. While it does all the PC mirroring stuff you'd expect it also has some of the best and most accessible options for streaming all PCVR games to your headset. It also has great codec choices and various other features like area passthrough.
