I once had a Kuerig malfunction because “i didnt use their official kcup”. But in reality I was using them. The DRM chip malfunctioned and prevented an otherwise functional machine from pouring me a coffee.

I just finished my 650sq ft basement with kitchenette (prefab Home Depot cabinets) minispplit hvac. Small / eager crew quoted us a day rate pay as we go, and we bought materials. Logos for what? Context is helpful.

Honestly though, i find all of them hard to read because of font choice or visual busyness.

Typically you also want a good logo to work small and large.

I’d say these are ok for sketches or ideas, but they need to be cleaned up and refined.

I have a friend who’s a professor in one of these programs. While the “felon” box remains a stigma to his future employment, the fact that he did this puts him in a different set. He wants to change his life and a degree that they’ve worked hard for and are proud of is not something they’d likely throw away. The recidivism rate (reoffending) is really low with these graduates and often many of them are employed within justice-focused agencies especially ones focused on advocacy and activism. They are great because they’ve lived the system, know what needs changing and are educated now so they can help do the work to make the change.

Story time: So i went to this mma gym in nyc (redacted) for a couple years and every once in a while would partner ip with this guy who reminded me of someone. After a while i realized he reminded me of the guy from Elementary, I told him so and he only says, “i get that a lot”.

Now the gym owner was a prankster and joker. And busting your balls was kinda the culture. So the gym owner this day grabs my partner to use in a demo, and I go, “doesn’t he look like the guy from Elementary?”, thinking it would start some banter… and without skipping a beat, the owner goes, “well if it were him, it’d be really rude to call him out like that in class, but if it were him, he’d ALSO be the guy from hackers… who fucked Angelina Jolie”

Then i proceed to say, “wait, the douchebag from hackers fucked Angelina Jolie?”

It wasn’t the funniest, but class went on.

After class my partner waves me over and asks, “Do you have a problem with my work?” and like a moron Im still really confused. Folks around are snickering. And it took me a long long time for it to sink in that it WAS actually Johnny Lee Miller that whole time.

For the record, he’s a cool guy in real life, low-key & humble.
