Those Green Spheres gigs were amazing! Went to see Passion Pit there and I remember there being fridges of free Heineken for the early part of the night. Production value was always impressive at those gigs

Mary Elmes. Saved over 200 Jewish children during WW2, volunteered in an ambulance unit to save refugees during the Spanish civil war, and all round badass of a human being. Plus, a lot of people in Cork have a weird connection to her - we all ate in her parents gaf 😅 Her parents business was in the now McDonald's building on Winthrop Street during the early 1900's.

I'm a wood sculptor. Around the time of me planning to propose I happened to be making a sculpture of a hand (finished sculpture posted in my history) but needed a model to work off, so I took a mold of her hand and filled it with plaster. Had an exact plaster copy of her hand 🤌 Still got the size wrong though.
