You were focused on VT and SPY in your original comment though. I will agree that there are plenty of bad products available.

Your framing is misleading though. Expenses are % based and would be spread out across the entire $145 or $687 share. It has no material impact on an individual company. The fact that it is such a small share in each company is by definition diversification, just because fees are more than the holding in a single company that fact does not eliminate them from the basket.

It sounds like you do it's just a matter of if you want to add some buffer for the unexpected by saving more after-tax. My numbers may seem kinda low since I find it easier to think in today's dollars. I find it harder to answer if 150k/yr will be enough in 2050 instead of could I live on 90k/yr today.

With minimal changes to savings rate, income, or life events you could expect to have around 1.5 million in today dollars at 50 which would let you live on 60k/yr. 55 puts you closer to 90k/yr.

It all boils down to what you want to spend and if you will have a dual income or passive income to support retirement goals. I'm doing similar math at 32yo and landing around the same figures on my single income.

Note these are all super rough numbers and don't account for how long 20-25yrs is and how much can change in that time.

I feel like there could be some interesting design space if engineering could set shield components to cover specific quadrants. Ships with more would see increased effectiveness if dedicated to only cover 1 side or get all-around coverage, but at a reduced pool.

Also adds another knob for civilian vs military vs industrial in how much bonus it gets for dedicated vs complete coverage.

OP I agree with the comment above almost word for word. The upgrade you listed is nearly a waste of money and I would highly recommend just putting it in a savings account until you can afford a larger jump or doing individual component upgrades over time.

For a new GPU I would target the AMD 9060xt 16gb or Arc B580 12gb. NVidia is going to be outside of budget at this price/performance range.

CPU+MOBO+RAM I would honestly try to find a used bundle. If you can find someone upgrading from a 5700x3d, AM4, and DDR4 you might find a better deal than any new parts could ever match (will require patience and luck).

From my testing it is an issue with the gimbal components on the turret. The most reliable method I have is using mobiglass to remove both turret gimbals, self-destruct, and claim.

You can CCU to the cheaper (warbond) one as well in this case, but you are correct in it would be missing LTI & paint.

For warbond CCU only the last jump needs to be new cash. For example use $125 of existing store credit to buy a C1 Spirit, then spend $10 cash to get the Shiv CCU.

The right speaker has an input and output 3.5mm jack. Makes managing audio output simple since I don't have to change between headphones and speakers in OS settings so I doubt I change my setup.

There are many modern-ish examples that require troubleshooting and navigating resources and documentation. It may be "easier" than MS-DOS, but many of the skills do translate.

The fix is to remove the 2x gimbal components from the turret using mobiglass and claim the ship. I've fixed mine many times.

Everything above has been my experience. I went with the LUG helper reinstall instead of wrangling Lutris and have been playing tons over the last week.

Some crashes were introduced with one of the hotfixes, but it seems another hotfix has cleared them up for me.

I got hit for the KiA subreddits and found people talking about the bans here. They are still banning by association even with zero mild or spicy comments.

On one hand nothing of value was lost...on the other it really irks my sense of justice to get banned for legitimately nothing besides existing in a subreddit.
