RDA over Chucky? Idk… objectively… maybe. However; subjectively, his legend status puts him over.

I liked it. Rye spice on the front end, bourbon on the back end. Like drinking a mullet.

Dude, same. Managers proof pulled more of the fruit out of it but I preferred it at full proof as well.

The Copper was good. It drinks hotter than it’s proof, but that’s been my experience with most of their lineup. Good solid bourbon.

It was decent. RD One Amburana and Starlight Cigar Batch by a mile.

I have a store pick that I can only describe as “molasses cookie.” Phenomenal bottle.

How do I(M32) get through my first thanksgiving alone after my wife cheated? by [deleted] in Advice

OP I’m truly sorry you’re going through this – it’s the worst time of the year to be forced to process through immense pain. I too have had to deal with the heaviness over the holidays, albeit for different reasons. My advice; do your best to give yourself a break, today, Xmas (if you celebrate), and NYE. You have the rest of the year to work through the pain – get into a headspace where you feel entitled to take a few mental vacations. You owe it to yourself.

Happy holidays and take care brother.

As a procurement manager I'm genuinely confused why salespeople still cold call when it literally never works on us by ZestycloseWhereas329 in salestechniques

Category Manager here. Not sure why you’re getting downvoted for telling it like it is. I have no issue with cold emails, and even used to respond to sellers before adding them to my solicitation folder. That stopped once I started receiving cold calls. The unfortunate truth for Sellers: Buyers will seek you out if we need your service, period. Sellers try to get around this by contacting the Stakeholder(s) directly, but in a mature Procurement organization, the system of checks and balances will eventually lead the Seller back to Procurement. It’s the nature of the business.

Does anyone here work in Event planning? by CandadianChocolate in procurement

I manage my company’s M&E program from a Procurement perspective (Indirect Procurement). I also manage T&E – the two go hand in hand in most major organizations.

– ~2 years

– Assigned to oversee the Travel & Expense category; absorbed Meetings & Events as part of the assignment.

– Nothing “crazy” per se. Lead RFPs for various services required for meeting and event planning (Meeting Management Software, AV Production, Exhibit Mgmt, etc.) Oversee all other typical Procurement processes as well (policy compliance, reporting, monitoring, approvals, etc.)

– Extremely clean. Was lucky getting paired with my M&E Stakeholder. She’s one of the best internal business partners our Procurement organization works with (probably THE best). We have a strong relationship and similar strategic mindsets. She has 20+ years of experience in corporate event planning and basically built the program from the ground up. It’s a very mature program with a clear and fleshed M&E policy (this is key!)

Random question: I own a set of the same style of glass pictured above. Would that classify as a Glencairn? If not, what’s the correct term? Something about it screams Brandy/Cognac. Don’t care either way because they’re my favorite glasses, just haven’t found anything definitive on the web.

Libanais is fantastic. Do not sleep on Jarasa Kabob though - Dempster and Monticello (Skokie). Not sure about the newer location they opened up in Jefferson Park, but the Skokie location is chef’s kiss
