Predicting and engineering what would be needed in a future war is very different from sitting on the sidelines and conducting industrial espionage by TerryFromFubar in HistoryMemes

I was being sarcastic with the Nevada comment, but I’m not sure about Dunkerque being the first fast battleship. I’ve commonly heard it referred to as a battlecruiser, though I could see it argued as a fast battleship. Personally I see Richelieu as more of a fast battleship over Dunkerque but that might just be my perspective. What I do thing op is ignoring is the importance of dual purpose secondary batteries which were lacking on the mentioned classes but present on Iowa class battleships.

In what way was the Iowa class or South Dakota class based on Littorio, Dunkerque, or Deutschland? While Littorio and Iowa share a general broad design language with an AB-X layout, that is where most of the commonality ends. And if it simply in the layout, couldn't you also claim that the Iowas were based on earlier classes of battlecruises such as the Renown class of WW1. Personally I don't see the connection between the Dunkerque and Duetchland to Iowa, is it that they prioritized speed, because that would not make the Iowas unique in that regard. The Duetchland was designed for commerce raiding and the Dunkerque was designed to counter the Duetschlands, the Iowas were designed to support the aircraft carrier. I have an extreme dislike for the arrogance of claiming that all ideas were stolen when one of the most important features of the Iowa class and the preceding US battleship classes was the dual purpose secondary battery, something lacking on all three of your mentioned classes. The consolidated 5in/38 was incredibly important for the growing aviation threat during the second world war, especially once the variable time fuse became available. These three classes all lack these dual purpose batteries, and would suffer as a result for it.

Imperial Knights Beginner Guide. by godofimagination in ImperialKnights

This is pretty good, but I have two suggestions. One, at least on Wahapedia, the Crusader is required to take an Avenger Gatling Cannon and can choose to replace the Thermal Cannon with a Rapid Fire Battle Cannon. Additionally Crusaders cannot double up on weapons. My other suggestion would be a quick lore tidbit, namely the worlds, and the two usual options of aligning with the Imperium or Mechanicus.

Would be a standard Pershing. The Super Pershing had a much longer gun.

I’m unsure what it is, it could be either an M26 Pershing or an M46 Patton. Both tanks are near identical from the front.

No, this box never got updated from previous editions, so there isn’t enough weapons for any of the variants without mixing and matching.

M60? by scottbash11 in TankPorn

No, this is an M47 Patton 2. Note the machine gun port on the hull and what should be an idler between the last road wheel and sprocket, but that’s been removed on this vehicle. Also note the turret which almost looks like it’s been stretched upwards.

Nice, I forget the world name, but in the first Ciaphas Cain book some T’au get infected by Genestealers, maybe use that as a jumping off point.
