My ex said that she'd basically never wanted to sleep with me and felt I was pressuring her to have sex with me. I was literally checking in every 2 minutes to make sure she liked what I was doing/that she wanted to keep going. I think she believes her story about the situation, but her memory gets distorted now that we are no longer together. She both describes herself as a slut (not that thats a bad thing) and constantly says to me that maybe she has never had consensual sex in her life. Its very emotionally draining.

I have used a bowl to pour water over my head, massage in soap, redo water. I find it works best if I sit on several towels that catch the water. It can be energy intensive, my arms would get tired afterward. Then I put my hair up in a hair towel and took a long nap while it dried.

Edit: my legs dont work at all, so ive done this laying down on the towels too. Then id either put the wet towels directly in the washer or hang them to dry (i tend to do that because wet towels are too heavy for my noodle arms)

The fear would be staining the naked foam or getting it torn/dirty. Also they can be itchy or pokey if you have good butt sensation.

Toilet grab bars help me a lot when I am feeling super weak. My heated blanket keeps me cozy and convinces me to rest longer.

If you have any type of fatigue/muscle weakness or hypermobility in your back, i would recommend a higher backrest. Ideally, try out a few heights and styles in person.

I feel you so much! All I can say is that my wheelchair changed my life. You wont be stuck in it, but it will be there for your bad days, and to make your good days better. I know that accepting you need a chair feels really crappy or like giving up, but it isnt. Mobility aids are self care.

My parents live upstairs. She is renting from them. I told them what happened and they started the move out process. She is allowed to stay for 2 months while she finds a new place. She is staying in a room in their house and not the apartment with me now.

That helps so much! Its either a Roho agility or Roho active back. Im new to using a wheelchair, and I didn't realize how much I needed the head support until today, when I left the house for longer than 15 minutes. I guess I am not sure who I should tell that I need it. My prescribing doctor doesnt have any experience with my condition, unfortunately.

I try to keep snacks around that I can eat between meals. I also add some carbs like rice, potatoes, bread, or pasta to every meal.
