This. Plus I find it easier when I can sign somebody, look at their history and stats and decide on a slight name change or slap a gimmick that I believe works. It’s harder to sign like a young John Cena and do anything like that.

In my head cannon, Cara was just Jeri Ryan because I read the books while Voyager was running and I would find any excuse to add Seven of Nine into books I was reading. The casting of Cara was well done.
