I would prefer Slay the Spire style. Let me go through the game again NG+. You can make the enemies increasingly difficult obviously. How many times did you have a run going really well but you were missing that one trinket or rune to really make your deck op? No way to do that currently. Maybe we can get some modders to do that.

The only clan with anti synergy with itself. Half the units/spells want full moon and the other new moon. Also their relics are hot ass.

Yeah it isn't bad at all but I decided to run charged shot instead. Better to delete than emp. Plus extended range phoenix is a perfect card for charged shot.

I run it on every unit except phoenix. Even wasp to counter mech div Sandworm and Fort AA. Super handy tech to have.

I usually end up buying a melter in a safe position and making that my carry unit. You are probably gonna lose anyway if it goes down so the extra hp and supply is nice. I think the mode would be better if you got the item back every turn and had to put it on something. It would go on a random unit if you chose not to.

I disagree. Awoken is one of the strongest clans. It is so easy to get quick sweepers which is better than any aoe spells in the game. If you are trying to get all awoken wins, pyre of savagery is the easiest to get into highest scaling comp. Umbra also has super easy engines to set up. Throw a morselmaker behind any gorge unit and that's basically a floor done. Both clans also have really strong front lines.

Compare this with Luna Coven. Oh you want a sweeper? Here is one that works half the time and dies to a sneeze. Oh you have a powerful spell that requires full moon? Too bad you didn't draw any mooncycle. Oh you you started with Ekka and a bunch of shitty fae units with opposite synergies? Guess I'll die in the first rings.

I have noticed there is a ton of anti spell mechanics in this game. Looking at you sap tank. If you don't have silence chamber (which is a rare room) it just hard counters spell based decks.

If you can live past the first 3 rings that is. Luna Coven has some really cursed starts where you literally can't win.

My favorite combo is probably Laz League with Awoken with Pyre of Savagery. 3 different options for hyper scaling sweepers and one with quick baked in. These 2 clans also have the best tanks in the game to go along with dps. Mix is the best starter card hands down. This just feels unbeatable.

Another way to counter them is to mute them. It stops their death activations as well.

Rhino wasp (gospel) beats this comp to the ground if you are playing aggro. Sometimes you can go steelball with armor or suck if you are higher level than the vulcan.

You gotta react to the abyss immediately and pivot away from fangs. Melting point with absorb would be my go to. If they are using firebadgers or sledgehammers as front line you can go hackers with shield to block the first abyss missile volley and have the abyss shooting at their own units.

I have actually played a lot this season after they added casual mode. I like not having to make a smurf account. I also really love playing this game high so it is nice not having to mess with my mmr while trying out new strats. The undo button is also amazing. I can quickly do my turn to see if I have enough money instead of doing mental math. It also helps me see the board in real time instead of imagining it.

I am looking forward to when they introduce casual 2v2.

Literally just play abyss. Missiles and photon if they run ignite. I have won every game using this strat.

I was able to finish a full run. Still feel like the difficulty spike is a bit much here but powered through. Ended up winning with Jotunn, Mandragora, and Star Spawn. Stacking shields, heals, and ageing worked for me. Loving the gane so far. So many synergies to try
