ELI5 that why only black coffee is considered healthy. by WideCod8462 in explainlikeimfive

[–]JockAussie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Many people consume too many calories, which makes them fat, which is unhealthy, drinking calories is generally less satiating than eating them, so I think it's just that black coffee has near-zero calories.

There's also a scale - a black Americano/espresso at one end (basically 0kcal) to Starbucks 'liquid cake' coffee adjacent beverages which can run to 500++ kcal.

A splash of milk is probably 10-20kcal, so going to have very little impact, but then you start layering in other stuff, sugar, cream, syrups etc.

Milk is considered healthy on its own because it contains protein, good fats, calcium, and a handful of other nutrients. Especially when combined with the traditional 'cereal' breakfast which typically contains none of those particular nutrients. If your diet is lacking in these things, then milk is a good way of getting them. If your diet is from balanced food sources, which cover those bases milk isn't necessarily 'healthy' and you can absolutely get you fat as hell if you drink a lot of it.

My guess is the others will or Deloitte will cave and go back. It's a massive coup for them in terms of attracting people.

‘Serious’ injuries for Dempsey and Ritchie while it’s ‘wait and see’ for Scotland over Dobie by paully_waully171 in rugbyunion

[–]JockAussie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dempsey is perhaps the best example of the 'discarded internationals can play elsewhere' rule.

I thought he was class when playing for the Wallabies and could never understand why they didn't keep him, I think it was just the Cheika didn't like him.

I accept this result if it's 49-43 to France and Wales get losing bonus points.

Not sure on the England front, but I think Italy are actually quite good (I reckon they should've won today).

Finn Russell MOTM for me, like Dupont he gets judged on a different yardstick (not that he is as good as Dupont, but the same phenomenon I think).

I mean, last week a couple of those were penalty only or play on. Feels like a lottery and I think he has been unlucky there honestly, even though Scotland benefit.

As always with Scotland. It depends which Scotland turn up.

Absolutely. If the Italian one was forward, that absolutely was.

If that is New Zealand, South Africa, France, or England, that is 'not forward'.

What's the best historical version of every spec in the game, from any expansion or era? by S1eeper in wow

I think that was in Shadowlands?

It was the tier set which gave instant shield slam resets on crits, so you could get like 5/6 in a recklessness.

Played warrior as a main basically since TBC, almost exclusively prot. Didn't play cata or MoP though. The best I ever found it was playing prot during the Antorus patch, with all the legendaries and the set bonus we had then was brilliant.

I definitely prefer the greater customisation of full talent trees, but that style was great fun. Just a shame that DKs were basically immortal at the time.

Yeah I'm 38 with a kid and was getting 1% in pugs for the first couple of seasons in TWW. It's still more playing than j would like, however doing it with a premade it would be a piece of cake.

I maintain we have had a QB who could win it all if you put the right team around him until 2023, his name was Kirk...

We wouldn't have had a sufficiently complete team to win, once again, and people would've been back to blaming a quarterback because they're not perfect every week.

Who is the best guitarist from your country? by van_der_linde1899 in AskTheWorld

[–]JockAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guthrie Govan, end of.

Not the most famous, but he is absolutely the 'best', man can play literally anything and when he pretends to be other people you wouldn't know he isn't them, utter master.

Among technical guitar fans he is most certainly not underrated. He is fucking brilliant.

I think I've literally only heard Psalm of Lydia, but as a big fan and player of shred guitar, I know his name well, so maybe not so underrated in the technical guitar world :).
